he didn't seem to care to talk about his inherent sexism portrayed here...wind lots of wind (in addition to the speaker)

EyeViolence - 2009-08-17

He would have died to vote for Clarence Thomas. DIED. SO WHO’S THE RACIST NOW FAGPERSON?!

TeenerTot - 2009-08-17

I love that these idiots assume I MUST have voted for Obama out of white guilt. I mean, why ELSE would you vote for a black guy?

(I voted for him cuz he's sexy.)

Xenocide - 2009-08-17

Good news! Thanks to write in votes, you CAN die to vote for Clarence Thomas!

I guess technically you can do it without the dying part, but don't half-ass it, bro! Go the whole hog! I'll give you a dollar.

memedumpster - 2009-08-17

Due to the nature of politics, it is impossible to actually vote for a good man. However, it is possible to vote for one hell of a positive international image, the destruction of conservative christian draconian imperialism, an end to white boy nepotism in those who rule us, and positive reinforcement to young people that their opinions do matter. There just happened to be only one candidate that offered those things.

Personally, I voted for Obama because he's the Anti-Christ and he offered me double points on my Mark "O'" the Beast.

Lindner - 2009-08-17

Oh, okay. I can get behind supporting the dark one.

But fuck young people and the international community.

foopants - 2009-08-17

Bwa ha ha ha. You really believe all that don't you. New prez, same old shit. Sure, he's better than Bush, but who wouldn't be??

This dude isn't racist. He didn't say a god damn racist thing.

Cleaner82 - 2009-08-17

Oh bullshit. Obama was the better candidate, period. The fact that this guy isn't even willing to consider the qualifications of our current president makes him either ignorant or racist. The idea that everybody voted for Obama because he's black is possibly racist bullshit, and at least bullshit bullshit.

Camonk - 2009-08-17

"I would've voted for X person of Y race if THEY'D ONLY RUN!" is the "Some of my best friends are Y" of politics.

foopants - 2009-08-17

Sure, Obama was the better candidate. On the other hand, there are two parties in America, and about 45% of the population voted for McCain. Dude is on the defensive because people like you are calling him racist. It's time to stop this two-party, football team bullshit and get American politics back on track. (Hint: we're at best treading water right now. Shit's not getting better.)

Cleaner82 - 2009-08-19

So in light of the fact that Obama was the better candidate, which you yourself quickly concede, stating that millions of people voted for him solely on the basis of race isn't a dumbshit racist statement? You're flailing.

Rum Revenge - 2009-08-17

"Let me babble for about a minute, that'll show you who's racist! Apple pie Malcom X race color voting equality Constitution Founding Fathers Creator! Who's the racist now? Liberals, that's who!"

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

Straightperson:I'm one starring this because the description is wrong. Explain to me how this man is racist. He said not a single racist thing, but was merely commenting on how he feels race is affecting politics. You merely assume him to be a racist because of your own prejudices towards conservatives.

Gayperson - 2009-08-17

uh, no. i think it's probably because he assumes that anyone who voted for barack obama did so just because he was black. ???

Bort - 2009-08-17

The odds are pretty good, though, that this guy isn't used to seeing politicians as problem solvers or managers, but as mascots. He can't see why anyone would prefer nerdly intellectual Obama as a mascot over the manly veteran McCain, so he assumes it's got to be white guilt. So maybe he's not a racist, just absolutely clueless.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

He's assuming that others (i.e. white liberals) voted on race. Thus he is not being racist merely assuming racism in others. He's not completely right about their motivations. White liberals would have voted for Hillary or Edwards over McCain, but I'm sure they felt extra smug for voting in a "black" man.

Gayperson - 2009-08-17

i dunno, dude... to assume that "white guilt" could be the only reason that white americans would vote for a black man seems pretty clearly racist. why ignore the voting of blacks in his statement? because blacks will naturally vote for him? it is possible to say something incredibly racist unintentionally...

Toenails - 2009-08-17

I'm not sure, but I do think that the majority of white people lamenting the role of race in politics are the ones angry that their guy lost the election. Yes, racism exists in the highest echelons of our government and society, but one presidential election is not going to go anywhere near absolving us whities of our past bad deeds. The people that actually voted for Obama should have known this, and if they didn't, well I apologize on behalf of those liberal morons everywhere. But if they were in anyways like myself, then race did not play any role in voting for Obama. I just wanted someone to reach out to our enemies with an olive branch for once (kinda sick and tired of all this war and fear-mongering and McCain seemed to be ready to continue with that shtick for another four years).

But, yeah, I gotta say that this doesn't look to be racism to me either. This is more like a persecution-complex that this guy seemed to have conjured out of the ether. He thinks that folks will think he's a racist for not liking Obama, which is totally wrong. Folks think he's a mis-informed idiot that has been mind-washed by the same war and fear-mongering political party for not liking Obama.

Don't worry though Gayperson, I'm not going to give it one star because I don't believe the description is 100 percent accurate. But I will take one star away from my rating because Cena completely fucked up his rip on your username. He should have called you StraightApe. That would have been badass.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

The man was talking about voting on people based on their character. Now libs and cons think differently, and while libs convinced themselves that Obama was worthy of the job us conservatives felt differently. He had a term in the state senate and two years in the U.S. Senate so they saw him as inexperienced and without character. Liberals on the other hand were wowed by his Harvard experience. That doesn't impress conservatives. Hard work and results impresses us, not grades from some fancy pants college.
I guess he ignored the voting of blacks because you really just can't blame them. This was a big victory in the hearts of black Americans and they fought and voted for it. So maybe that statement is a little, tiny, petite, bit racist, but he isn't a racist. The man has no qualms against other races, he doesn't own a white robe. He's just a hard working man who's sick and tired of Libs like you calling him a racist.

Gayperson - 2009-08-17

okay, disregard that, i suck cocks.

Toenails - 2009-08-17

@Cena

Conservative? CONSERVATIVE???

Holy shit man, get in character! You're suppose to be a libertarian!!

Oh and if that guy was tired of people calling him a racist, that would have probably been because he's actually a racist, not because he voted for McCain.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

I am libertarian but I relate far more to the conservatives right now than the liberals. Especially now because issues of economic liberty are the hot issues at the moment.
During the Bush years I often looked liberal because I was against stuff like wiretapping.

Toenails - 2009-08-17

During the Bush years I often looked liberal because I was against stuff like wiretapping [citation needed].

pastorofmuppets - 2009-08-17

It's the fact that he's preoccupied with race that causes people to call him a racist.

In either case, his tears are delicious.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

No he's preoccupied with the fact that the left uses accusations of racism against anti-obama care movement. There is no racial motivation.

William Burns - 2009-08-17

Tear up any Rosa Parks posters lately?

Racism still exists in the US. This is obvious to anyone who ever leaves their house, regardless of where in in the US you live.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-08-17

The US population is about 13% black. The percentage of black presidential candidates, even if you start counting from 1960, is not 13%. How do you explain that without racism (the regular kind, not the reverse liberal kind)? I mean blacks are really good at running, amirite?

But you get a black democrat in the white house and just like that, it's jungle fever! It's reverse racism! White liberal guilt! When in fact the truth is that Bush fucked up so bad that there was no way this country was going to put another Republican in its highest office. Or Palin, for that matter.

He seems to have no clue who Alan Keyes is either, for someone so enlightened.

Cena_mark - 2009-08-17

I'd never vote for Alan Keyes, because he is an idiot. He leads in the birther movement for God's sake. But I'd love to vote for Condi.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-08-18

I'm really horrified by something I typed earlier. I'm really sorry everyone...I'd take it back if I could. It was sarcastic but still pretty horrible.

CM, Keyes strikes me as an outsider, which is not bad in and of itself but if anyone lacked government experience it was him. I just use him as an example but I agree with you there.

I've said too much already about this silly video but my main feeling is that if it's fair to say that Obama got votes because of his color, then it's far to say the same of McCain, and there's a lot of precedent on that side.

I propose that we do neither...this last one was all about party lines. This guy would be saying the same thing about gender if it was Clinton, and again, the argument is silly because it works in either direction.

RockBolt - 2009-08-17

Grand Junction? Every single person I know from that city has that exact same speech that boils right down to IM NOT A RACIST I JUST HATE BLACK PEOPLE AND MEXICANS

foopants - 2009-08-18

'Round here its more like "I don't hate blacks; I just hate niggers." Ugh. "There are whites and white trash, blacks and niggers." "White trash" is almost as hurtful as "nigger" IMHO, but I bet a lot of people here have no qualms calling certain people trash :( A bloo bloo bloo.

heyitslozeau - 2009-08-17

the one drop of blood thing made me laugh, get it?

dont ever die for clarance thomas.

bacon-swiss - 2009-08-17

"look how white i am, i voted for a black person"
