I don't know, watching these kinds of videos makes me really upset, because my brother is in prison, and I always have this horrible, lingering anxiety that he's going to be hurt by someone.

The Caffeine Kid - 2009-08-12 He is in Green Haven Correctional Facility with a minimum 22 year - maximum life sentence. It is extremely difficult to deal with, but I'd honestly never thought about contacting any support group. I've never done anything like that, it seems silly. But I guess it might help, to be in a place where other people are in similar boats. I'll look into it.

The Faghorn - 2009-08-12 It can happen to anyone in any institution in the country, whether you're sentenced to decades, years, or not even convicted yet and just sitting in jail waiting for a trial. Trying to palm this off as something that only happens to people doing long stretches of time, as if that somehow makes it okay, is a sleazy tactic used to conceal the fact that anywhere from 200 (According to the DOJ under Gonzalez) to 400 (According to the Human Rights Watch) people are raped in prison every day.

Hey Faghorn. . By stating that I thought that type of shit mostly goes on in long term facilities I was not condoning rape in those facilities. Let me shout it out so I dont leave any doubt: ALL RAPE EVERYWHERE IS BAD! Thanks for the statistics. Very disturbing. I read Christian Parenti's book "Lockdown America" and gained a better sense how sexual violence is used / ignored by officials as it helps control prison populations.
