a flurrypalooza!

spikestoyiu - 2009-07-07

Man, this dude REALLY loves Sarah Palin.

Camonk - 2009-07-07

He keeps trying to get her change her mind, but she won't. Mainly because a lot of republicans and conservatives who know about Palin and are honest about her don't like her.

zatojones - 2009-07-07

Sarah Palin is at best at the "forgettable reality TV star" level of relevance

Ah shit, no she didn't just bring up William F. Buckley!!!

Seriously, there has to be a Godwin variation for this:

"As a discussion amongst conservatives grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving William F. Buckley approaches 1."

Caribou Barbie.

Hillary went through five times the sheer crap and still didn't quit.

I'll take the coservative politics, I'll take the crazy religious beliefs, white trash family, and stupid quotes. But the blow Sarah Palin has dealt female politicians has set us back *another* 50 years. Fives stars of evil for Palin perpetuating almost every stereotype for why women shouldn't hold public office short of bleeding all over the governer's mansion :(

poorwill - 2009-07-07

Fortunately, all the people who are stupid enough to think Sarah Palin somehow could stand for all female politicians also are the same people who think Sarah Palin is *not* a blithering idiot, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Of course, these same people would never vote for a woman unless she had the exact same deficiencies as Palin so it's still an uphill battle.

StanleyPain - 2009-07-07

Just a reminder, Liz Trotta is the one who joked on air about assassinating Obama. So, that's great that she wants to be a catty bitch about Palin, but fuck her.

nonplusplus - 2009-07-10

Pretty much. She seems like a traditional moneyed Republican who is simply snobbish about this yokel embarrassing her Grand Old Party. Uppity negroes and uncultured hicks... all equally unworthy.

Only if you accept the "conservative = populist, liberal = elite" line of the last few decades does this seem remarkable.

Hooper_X - 2009-07-07

Around the 3:30-4:00 mark he basically is trying to keep from screaming OBAMA SUCKS OKAY OBAMA SUCKS. HE SUCKS AND HE IS AWFUL AND I WANT TO FUCK SARAH PALIN AND BARACK *HUSSEIN* OBAMA WON'T LET ME!!!!!!!!!!!

"Because you know there are some other politicians who lack experience and I MEAN OBAMA OKAY"

Desidiosus - 2009-07-07

Palin pretty much personifies conservative politics for all the reasons Trotta lays out - inarticulate, undereducated, scandals, hypocrisy, self-serving, etc. etc.

fatatty - 2009-07-07

A valiant effort by the anchor to get her to spew the right talking points. Kudos to Trotta for sticking to her guns and showing all hope is not lost for the right.

whoops

joelkazoo - 2009-07-23

While watching this, I kept thinking "Why the fuck aren't they cutting her mic?", then she starts in about how Palin only got to where she was because she was pretty. True or not (and it definitely is true, mind you), I just know rednecks around the world, upon hearing that, went "Yup! That's all them wimmin folk're good f'r, anyway! Lookin' purty and fetchin' me a Milwaukee's Best Ice!", then switched the channel to NASCAR highlights.

"Wahsseela."

My feelings are kind of mixed on this one. Sarah Palin was never the right choice, but now that the election is over, can't we just TRY to ignore her? It seems typical of FOX to be behind a woman like her all the way, just to let her have her fame, but then as soon as she fails her campaign and does something stupid like quit, have someone on to acknowledge everything that "the liberals" have been saying about her all along...

Charles - 2009-09-13

five for mixed feelings and hatred all around!
