Indeed.

Think whiny thoughts

Whitewater5 - 2009-06-24

I like how he gives Prototype the win in the "gameplay" and "fun" categories but balances it out because inFamous has a better character

They are exactly as important.

SHOW YOURSELF

socialist_hentai - 2009-06-24

Prototype is insanely bloody and psychopathic but verry verry verry repetative, his description is perfect, to bad they didn't make a PC version if inFamous.

Pillager - 2009-06-25

If the Infamous port would only have console-centric controls, it can stay on the PS3.

Merzbau - 2009-06-24

Oh come on, I use shit other than the whipfist all the time. Admittedly, the thirty-foot bladed death tentacle gets the most use by far, but the blade, hammerfist, musclemass/throwing objects, and weapons (the grenade launcher at full skill is a joy to use) all have their place whether you're actually doing the missions or just genocidin' around.

Though Prototype rips off a very famous, very good comic for its one "plot twist" in a way that suggests the writers had no understanding whatsoever of what made it work in the first place, so eh. Even.

Merzbau - 2009-06-24

Addendum: The claws fucking SUCK, though.

Lindner - 2009-06-24

I rarely used the whip claw except to hijack helicopters... but then I do concur that the claws sucked.

Merzbau - 2009-06-24

The whipfist's fully-charged special attack (triangle, the long-range single-target strike) can take out almost 80% of a strike team chopper's health, and easily one-shots virus-detector UAVs without even charging. And the streetsweeper is your best friend when there are a lot of military on the ground, assuming you can get enough time unmolested to quickly pull it off.

Aelric - 2009-06-25

I didn't read that comic, but I believe the one you refer to had a certain AM rebooting in the 760's, correct? It's what I thought of when I barely notices the twist in Prototype (The story pacing is really odd.)

Merzbau - 2009-06-25

An Alan Moore horror book for DC, yeah. The storytelling in this game is so awkward, disjointed and divorced from the gameplay it's almost an achievement. I love the game, because it's FUN, but it really is a total dud story-wise.

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-06-24

muuuuuuuuuuuch better than last week's

Camonk - 2009-06-24

Five stars for making me want to use the PS3 I thought just for the purpose of playing Demon's Souls to also maybe play Infamous.
