A big problem here is that the Right in America today (well... Republicans anyway) are all about social conservatism. They pay lip service to economic conservatism, but just end up being rich man socialists who spend huge amounts of government money an things that don't even help, like useless wars and bolstering companies that already have huge amounts of money. In this regard I could compare them to another party that gained a lot of power in the 30s but why bother.
