Joe the Plumber's game was lying: he isn't actually "Joe" or a "Plumber", he's not saving up to buy his boss's business, he doesn't pay his taxes, and it took other people to discover that he used to be on welfare. When Holmes of all people called him on the welfare thing, he at least had the good sense to say (lie) that he'd paid it back. Craig T. Nelson just isn't as smart as all that.

But I see that the right wing isn't afraid to invoke the star power of a Craig T. Nelson or a Kelsey Grammer whenever it suits them.
