none of his limbs were scissored off. his arms were cut off by an elevator and his legs were eaten by a giant space bug. his head is not a limb but it did explode.

I think that what happened to his arms count as scissoring. If I were to become particularly picky, I could say that the giant space bug that ate his legs had to scissor them off with its incisors.
