Some great shots of the then-squalid Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. (Nowadays you want to avoid Lake, and especially Washington).

oh, and if you find yourself at the intersection of Washington and Broadway, day or night, GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!

Oh, and the White Castles in those areas are relatively safe, contrary to popular belief. The one to avoid is in Hopkins, a real-life beer-and-pickup-truck suburb you thought only existed in quirky indie films.
