Two kids try to play a game while being harassed by a creepy older guy barking orders at them.

This is pretty much exactly what it was like hanging out in a comics shop in the mid 90s.

(I'm pretty much wishing for the "90s" and "white people" tags here.)

Why does the ref hate Player B so much? Why is he stacking the deck so he knows all the cards from another room? Why didn't he get an electric shock when he stopped paying attention? Do Player A and Player B have names?

This is how i imagine most games are when people are actually bothering to use the portal "dummy expansion" cards. Complete with electroshock therapy and all.

Does this video count as towards "electricity week"?

Half of these stars are for Pat Cashmen as the "DM" or whatever he is here, the other half are for the maniacal laugh at 8:10 that made watching the whole thing worthwhile.

Ugh, why is the ref having him cast creatures first main phase? He should be proceeding to combat; leaving mana up for possible combat tricks/bluffs, then play any non-essential creatures on his second main phase.

Idiots.

No, you do not play creatures and then tap your lands to pay for them, you add mana to your mana pool and then draw from that mana to cast your creature spells. All mana added to the mana pool must be used by the end of the turn, or the player incurs mana burn damage deducting life points equal to the surplus mana in the mana pool. Cmon.

This is not what I expected, too much of a budget was involved here. Who made this? Who has money to pay actors and was like "You know what the world needs? An unwatchable Magic: The Gathering tutorial!"

I'd assume the company that makes the cards made this, but to what end? There's no way they'd show this on TV, how would they get people to see this? You can tell it wasn't made in the past decade so youtube is out. This video raises more questions than it answers.

Also they don't seem to be learning anything, Mr. Movie Voice just seems to be playing against himself via proxy.

Ice Age was the best expansion.
