This sucks because of her turning this into a guess the band game that the DJs ate right up. But worthy of the 3 stars because the guy who really wanted to know ended up not caring when he found out.

everyone in this studio has ADD

Goethe and ernie - 2009-03-06

Radiohead haven't done anything worthwhile since OK Computer, which is the most overrated album of the 90s.

Miley Cyrus did that song that the Mae Shi did that amazing cover of. Also, she doesn't pretend to have a lazy eye and act "weird". She wins, hands down.

Aelric - 2009-03-06

You are a 14 year old girl, right?

Goethe and ernie - 2009-03-06

You are one of those weird American hipsters that reads Pitchfork daily and can't comprehend the notion of people not being particularly impressed by Radiohead, right?

fluffy - 2009-03-06

For what it's worth, Thom Yorke doesn't pretend to have a lazy eye. His eyelid was damaged in a surgery as a child, and so it's stuck like that.

This is just boring and aggravating. 5 stars for the retarded Radiohead slapfight on the comments here.

Goethe and ernie - 2009-03-06

I know Thom Yorke's got a lazy eye. But it mysteriously got lazier when Kid A came out. Which, coincidentally, was around about the time that he started rambling on about the CIA in interviews, and doing those try-hard "I'm weird" dances onstage. Kid A wasn't even a good album.

KnowFuture - 2009-03-06

I like everything they've put out since and including OK Computer, except for Hail To The Thief, which sounded to me like reheated leftovers from their other stuff.

Also, if the whiney douchebag in the studio with her who's trying to sound like Howard Stern turns out to in fact BE Howard Stern.....well, I don't know if that would be acceptable.

Mike Jordan - 2009-03-06

Thanks for inadvertently keying me in to that cover. Pretty drastic change from Terrorbird to covering Disney channel stars. Good all the same.

I once had a room full of people turn on me when I let them know that I wasn't too impressed with Radiohead. I don't hate them, I just said that I thought they were a little disingenuous and an intervention was had.

Aelric - 2009-03-06

Goethe: I'm not terribly impressed by Radiohead either. I was saying that more for humors sake due to the younger following Cyrus has.

Yousee, we make alout of jokes here.

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-03-06

i have this hilarious image of Goethe and Ernie going up to people on dance floors across the world and screaming YOURE TRYING TOO HARD with tears streaming down his face.

some people are just bad dancers who look ugly, there's no grand deception or marketing technique behind it. it's fucking DANCING dude, which used to be all about fun until society turned it into just another outlet for criticism and disdain

ps: people who blanket-hate anyone who likes radiohead are just as delusional and retarded as people who blanket-hate people who don't like radiohead.

pps: i do love that cover though, along with most everything else The Mae Shi does

pps: poop

kingarthur - 2009-03-06

I often babysit my boss's 12 year old daughter. This reminds me of that. Not so much Miley, but the insipid "DJs".

JSP - 2009-03-06

There's a fair amount to recommend this. The crying kid and then she says she doesn't like pop music and yeah.

Hooper_X - 2009-03-06

I'm pretty much agreeing with JSP here. The crying fanchild alone is two or three stars, plus the fact that even though Miley Cyrus has already made more money in three years than everyone on POETV combined will make in their lifetime, her favorite band still won't talk to her.

Ha ha.

Lauritz Melchior - 2009-03-06

*sigh*

People like this annoy me. They seem so vapid.

Star for the kid, though.

futurebot - 2009-03-06

"I'm gonna ruin them"

Leviathant - 2009-03-06

Good on Miley Cyrus for being nice to her sobbing fanjobs, but if you follow Radiohead closely enough, it's pretty easy to get the impression that they have some disdain for their fans. For example, Radiohead Television/"The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth of All Time" - ooh neat, Radiohead's going to broadcast stuff online.

...and it ends up being an enormously absurd waste of time.

In Rainbows! OMG pay what you want and you can download the album... in shit quality, with no artwork or lyrics, with the band flatly stating to Rolling Stone that you can't get high quality audio from a computer the way you can get it from a CD. Really? Management backs 'em up, the whole giveaway was just promo to hype an otherwise mediocre album. Oh, no, double album, but you had to buy the deluxe edition to get the bonus songs. Until they release them again, for completionist fanjobs to buy again.

Remix contest! Except you have to buy each "stub" from itunes individually, charging fans 5x for a song they already have on the album they've bought two or three times.

Radiohead have made a couple of good albums and a number of good songs, but they're kind of snotty.

...wait, Miley Cyrus is a huge Radiohead fan?

Camonk - 2009-03-06

A band that sucks as much as radiohead has no business being disdainful of anyone, least of all the broken-headed morons who actually like their shitty whining dressed up as "music"

Chancho - 2009-03-06

Whenever I say that I don't like Radiohead and think they are boring my friends look at me with shock and pity. The fact that they are too lazy to be polite to a teenage girl sums them up quite nicely.

Miley Cyrus fans are mostly around the age of ten so at least they have an excuse for having boring taste in music.

Keefu - 2009-03-06

I am disdainful of those who like a band

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-03-06

how dare a band release an album for free! i will blog menacingly for this!

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-16

Guys, you're just going to have to face facts. Radiohead has weird lyrics, and they're songs are all dark and stuff, and they guy even dances weird. They even have the audacity to not be an Animal Collective side project! They are a *terrible* band and I will not hear another word on it.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-16

* "their" a terrible band, whoops

Frank Rizzo - 2009-03-06

10 minutes of this? really?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-06

God, I can't listen to this. I can listen to the autistic toy dude more than this.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-06

note that all five stars are for my desire to never hear this chicks voice ever again.

Wonko the Sane - 2009-03-06

Why are all of todays idols teenaged idiots?

Hooper_X - 2009-03-06

Today's?

I think you fail to grasp the cyclical nature of youth culture. Teen idols pretty much always have been idiots. That's why they're successful, because they're marketably bland.

fluffy - 2009-03-08

The last good teenage idols were The Beatles.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-16

John Mayer called, he's mad at you.

Big Name Celebrity - 2009-03-09

How the fuck do you get to be a rock DJ without having heard of Radiohead?
