I love me some Fela Kuti. I think of 10 or so offstage interviews/photos I've seen, 7 of them are wearing those gold briefs.

I can't fault Fela for the fact that US critics haven't delved much beyond a JB influenced Nigerian to listen to what the rest of the continent has produced.

Aside: I don't care much for Cream (beyond the obv singles). I like Baker's Laswell album "Middle Passage", along with the other parts of that trilogy: Material "Seven Souls" & Skopelitis "Next to Nothing". Anything else worth soulseeking?
