cracked is edited by Jay Pinkerton, who writes for Valve I believe and used to have a really hilarious site. unfortunately it turns out mainly list based comedy "articles" that aren't written by him and are nothing like his original humor to get hits from sites like digg for pageviews.
Yeah, it's pretty much a pageview farm. They have some really talented people working there - Robert Brockway, John Cheese, etc. - but they're so dedicated to this foolproof-Digg-loves-it-infographic-at-the-top-and-8-item-list-bas ed-comedy format bullshit that there's really no room for the comedy to grow. So you end up getting the same article day in and day out, just with some thematic differences. Then Dave Wong will write something and you'll want to tear your own fucking eyes out.
So is this the bastard mutant fetus of the already-mediocre Cracked magazine? I used to like the spies and saboteurs comic, but even back then I knew it was just a Wal-Mart generic knockoff of Spy Vs Spy.
