This is actually from an entire documentary about Ditko the BBC did a while back - apparently they got Neil Gaiman(!) to take them to Ditko's office, but he wouldn't appear on camera, although he was allegedly very polite about it. I need to find/torrent it.
i got my girlfriend's brother a copy of 'strange and stranger' for christmas, thinking it was more of an art anthology and not a biography of how steve ditko got his crazy all over everyone he ever worked with. it's pretty interesting, but it's also pretty depressing to see how his work kind of suffered for his beliefs as his career went on.
