If I remember right, Howling 3 was directed by the same fella what brought you the glorious piece of excrement that was known as Howling 2: Your Sister is a Werewolf (which, on IMDB, has somehow ended up with the title Howling 2: Stirba - Werewolf Bitch), Philippe Mora. They've said for years that Howling 3 was his attempt to repair the damage he'd done to the Howling "franchise" with the second entry.

He DID start his career with The Beast Within if that counts for anything.
