I was going to complain that it wasn't as spectacular as it could have been.
And then they ended with the mise-en-scene of the text about the boy who's head was crushed and the cored melon.

Yeah....I'm never gonna get into one of those things.
I imagine being in one is like Magneto's escape scene from X-men 2.

fluffy - 2009-01-10 Not to mention that ridiculous scene where House did an MRI on the guy who was holding a gun. Sure, he moved the gun away from the MRI, but not by all that much, and only because it was interfering with the MRI's readings.

MrBuddy - 2009-05-31 I had to have an MRI of my head. I layed there without enough space between my nose and the machine to put my hand between them. I had to keep my eyes shut so I didn't think about what would happen if the MRI collapsed and crushed me. I also found out that an MRI takes a long, long time. Mine took somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour.

For comparison, a magnet deserving a Wikipedia entry would be about 10 Tesla, and the strongest magnetic fields ever made were EMP pulses of close to 100 Tesla. The surface of a neutron star is about 8000 Tesla.. if you could somehow be there you'd be crushed by the sheer magnetic field.

Five stars for the mysterious quality of this video. It is both a cautionary tale and a dark comedy, complete with mechanical soundtrack.

Hey look, an assassination scenario for the next Hitman game!

I was curious about the risk an MRI poses to piercings since most rings are made of 316L surgical steel, the same grade steel used in surgical implants, so I did some looking around. Turns out tattoos are more likely to be a problem. Either way I don't think I'll be getting any MRIs if I can help it.

Long Gone Daddy - 2010-02-22 I have never seen any implant made of steel. Everything, from clips to artificial valves to stents to joints, are made of titanium, which is lighter and stronger and is MRI-safe.
