How to get banned on poeTV.
Submit a NSFW video.
Submitting a video which leads to a site that is NSFW. Use your head. If you see porn ads of any kind, if you see naked chicks, if you see anything suspect on a site - DO NOT SUBMIT THE VIDEO!!! This is how poeTV gets on filter lists and banned from people's work.
What is NSFW?
Prolonged nakedness, sexual acts, things like fat women in panties bouncing and other idiotic things you would obviously not want your boss to see. Audio is safe for work, audio cannot be NSFW.
Submitting a video just to attack another user. Feel free to submit a video to provide a counterpoint, but personal attacks on other users through videos is not acceptable.
Submit a NSFW video will get you banned.
Submit a NSFW video will get you banned.
Submitting any of the above anonymously means you want to be banned forever ever with no chance of coming back.
Other than that, come on, read the freaking rules on submitting a video. If you break those rules enough, you will get banned. If you break one of the NSFW rules, you will simply be banned with no further warning.

so does this mean I can't do my zany parodies on youtube and submit them here, or that cena mark can't make vlogs about me? or are you referring to using names of users in tags and submitting stupid videos just to associate said user with them.
|
|
Chet - 2009-01-06 People making videos etc fine. But renaming a gay marriage to be BALEEN'S WEDDING HAHAHA!!!! That is just stupid.
Submitting that anonymously? Ban.

HankFinch - 2009-01-06 Why is "anonymous" even allowed?
|
|
|
godot - 2009-01-06 I'm disappointed in the lack of bouncing fat women in panties on this site.
|
Hooker - 2009-01-06
My first ever submission had tits in it, so I scrambled to put NSFW in the title. Is there a way to take the submission down?
Alternatively, is this not allowed: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=23536
-2 for Budweiser

Chet - 2009-01-06 Your thought - if this is safe for Canadian TV it is safe for here is pretty true.
All of this isn't because I am a prude, it is simply if the site gets tagged people at work will not be able to visit. That would suck.
People at work should be able to visit. People should be able to link to a video and know the rest of the site is safe etc.
|
dr_rock - 2009-01-06 My work bans this site. Then again my work bans almost everything.
|
Chet - 2009-01-06
Should also add - no Death Clips.
No videos containing clips of people actually dying. The one exception would be news clips not made for just the joy of showing death.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-01-06 I've been meaning to ask this (even though it's unrelated) How do you do a resubmit? I couldn't find a prompt on that.
|
|
ProfessorChaos - 2009-01-06 The "Update Dead Link" text can be found just underneath videos, on the right margin.
|
Monchiles Monchiles - 2009-01-06 The shark DIDN'T ACTUALLY eat the dog! It was two seperate clips, one of a dog swimming and one of a shark, spliced together for the sole purpose of the creator of the video to have a medium through which to produce his insane conspiracies like how we don't really have to pay taxes.

Question, Chet:
"Audio is safe for work, audio cannot be NSFW."
so does that mean no more videos like Tourette's Guy and Vagina Power?
|
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-01-06 Also, there have been plenty of videos submitted in the past that use fuck, and worse words according to FCC standards...so are those off limits or simply colorful?
|
Syd Midnight - 2009-01-06 I think he means all audio is considered SFW. If you're blaring PoeTV so loud at work that your boss hears a curse word, you were getting fired anyways.
|
Sudan no1 - 2009-01-06 you're probably right Syd, I know audio was never an issue in the past.
|
Chet - 2009-01-06 I worded that poorly, Syd is correct. Audio is always SFW. If you blare your speakers at work, you get what you deserve. but if you have headsets on and your boss sticks his head in, he will be none the wiser.

|
Aelric - 2009-01-06 in all fairness, the 'Roachbud is a bouner' tag is gold if you were around for past shenanigans, so username tags do have some merit, but that is neither here nor there.

LAME!

I totally agree. Those rules are the reason why this site rules.
It's so easy to slip beneath the bar and become another break.com or what have you.
|
Hooper_X - 2009-01-06 Oh man I was just about to post this TOTALLY AWESOME VIDEO where a HOT BABE gets her HOOTERS OUT ON CAMERA and you can TOTALLY SEE LIKE PART OF HER NIPPZ and it's SEXY plus there are a bunch of ads for great services you need. Like porn!

charmlessman - 2009-01-06
What if my boss is a porn producer?
|
Oktay - 2009-01-08 If your boss is a porn producer and you find yourself bored at work, you should seek help (or try socializing with your co-workers).
|
StanleyPain - 2009-01-06
HEY GUYS ARE WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THE FUNNY BEER COMMERCIAL IN HERE?
|
RomancingTrain - 2009-01-06
I'm rating the video not the discussion.
