Some officers handle the shit they deal with each day by being remarkably patient and calm. Its the ones that don't that make cops look bad.
I watch cop shows a lot, and figure the best cops are the ones that treat most people like little kids: "Stop. Stop. Stop. Are you listening to me? Stop. You're not going to like what happens next!"
