I believe that video games helped kill companies like Hanna-Barbera. Video games robbed them of their Saturday Morning captive audience.

I wrote my college thesis on that subject, and that very same thesis is what helped get me my cushy job here on POETV.

Now, which one of you is going to get me my coffee?

Wow, I remember this episode.

The Fonz doesn't even get to do anything in the opening,That Horshack pig and that god damned Mr Cool are stinking up the screen with their tired shtick, but one of our nation's FINEST actors gets nothing more than bottom billing, and being chauffeur to a weaselly little rat dog-a dog THE FONZ would never own anyway because THE FONZ IS WAY TOO COOL TO OWN A DOG THAT LOOKS LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN A TURD AND A RAT. They couldn't find anything for him to do?He could rap on Mork's egg like he did that jukebox. He could fuck Pam Dawber. The possibilities are endless, but they're not even trying.

This is why there aren't cartoons on saturday mornings anymore: coked up network programmers with the reverse Midas touch, they are given gold, and it turns to shit in their hands.

speaking of coke, do you think Robin Williams got paid in blow for doing this?

KnowFuture - 2008-10-16

Robin Williams got paid in blow for pretty much everything he did around this time.

. . . .

boner - 2008-09-10

That's a quote from the Japanese RPG version

TeenerTot - 2008-09-10

Which writer thought Mork wasn't "wacky" enough on his own, and added the poodlepede?

IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-10

Probably the same one that though "Mr Cool" deserved more screentime than his owner "The Fonz".

I remember being pissed off by this cartoon even as a kid.

Xenocide - 2008-09-10

PREVIOUSLY ON HORRIBLE CARTOON INFINITY:

Laverne and Shirley joined the army because they thought the guy at the recruitment station was hot. Like most military recruits, their CO is a talking pig. The Fonz, having traveled 20 years into the future thanks to the time-travel device from his own cartoon, has also joined the army for no reason, and serves as his company's Guy Who Rides a Motorcycle in the Foreground, 2nd Class. He also brought his stupid dog.

But no one could have suspected that this was all a stupid tv show being watched by a retard from space.

NEXT TIME: Urkel and Thundarr the Barbarian's round-the-world balloon race!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-09-11

The 70's were a dark time.

Hooper_X - 2009-03-18

So is the implication here that Laverne & Shirley didn't ACTUALLY join the army, their adventures are just a made up cartoon that Mork watches? Or is he secretly observing them while they do things?

One possibility is vaguely distressing, while the other is downright creepy.
