I'll follow baleen's lead on this one.

simon666 - 2008-09-10

O'Reilly: Am I wrong.

Obama: Yes, you are wrong.

The real problem with O'Reilly is he THINKS he is on an educational and mental par with those who obviously are more intelligent and better educated than him. pompous comes to mind...

Hooker - 2008-09-10

What are you trying to tell me?

simon666 - 2008-09-10

nothing you don't already know. actually i changed my comment after hitting reply. oh well.

minimalist - 2008-09-11

The best thing Rush Limbaugh ever said was his dig at O'Reilly: "Someone's got to say it. The man is Ted Baxter."

Comeuppance - 2008-09-10

Somewhat off-topic: Bill O'Reilly is frustrating to listen to, I can't imagine how much restraint it takes to not bludgeon him to death when trying to talk to him in person.

Every 10 words, he interrupts you with tangential repetitive accusatory bullshit. I would have already been choking him about two minutes in.

"The guy was never part of my campa-"
"HE SAID HE DIDN'T BOMB ENOUGH PEOPLE!"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET ME FINISH A GODDAMN SENTENCE BEFORE I TEAR OFF YOUR ASS AND SMOTHER YOU WITH IT."
"..."
"As I was saying, he was never part of my campaign, he isn't one of my advisors..."

Five stars for how Obama managed to not be visibly enraged by this shit fountain of a man.

homohabilis - 2008-09-11

agreed. i only want to live long enough to shit on bill o'reilly's grave.

these stars are for obama's use of logic, class, and restraint.

afp3683 - 2008-09-11

shit fountain.

StanleyPain - 2008-09-10

These interviews must have been very, VERY hard for O'reilly since their framing made it virtually impossible for him to control the agenda like he does on his show, although the editing down takes care of some of that.

He's still a douchebag of the highest order. He's using a classic bigot/racist technique of trying to come off as the good guy because "Well, shucks, whaddya know the filthy nigra actually isn't so bad!! Why, I talked with him and he didn't once eat watermelon or pray to Allah!"

It's a nicer version of his "WOW THE NIGGERS IN HARLEM WERE NICER THAN I EXPECTED" thing last year.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-09-10

Did he miss the day in kindergarten where they taught that constant, nonstop interruptions were a bad point?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-09-10

Well it's different when you're interrupting black people, because they need to be educated!

God, I have never wanted to smack O'Reilly more. The total lack of respect is astounding. And the interview has multiple parts, the latest of which I saw included him saying something ridiculous only to have to apologize for it and take it back and Barack just sort of laughed at him, the way you would a child. It's utterly beautiful.

mouser - 2008-09-10

Can't stand this O'Reilly. He needs a good ramming up the hellhole with a blunt pickup truck.

Udderdude - 2008-09-10

Fucking 100% pure scumbag.

baleen - 2008-09-10

No spin fashion.

Cena_mark - 2008-09-10

He's still afraid to face Sean Hannity.

mr666 - 2008-09-10

Barack is afraid he won't be able to resist punching that idiotic jackass in the face, perhaps.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-09-10

Is that what Sean Hannity tells himself when he pretends he's a journalist or worth anyone's time?

Cena_mark - 2008-09-10

Sean Hannity has no pretensions of being a journalist. He's a commentator. His radio and television programs are biased commentary on news and politics. I know it, he admits to it, sadly many don't know it. Now if you want a commentator who thinks he's a real journalist look no further than your boy Olbermann.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-09-10

No response as to whether or not he's worth anyone's time, then.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-09-10

Sean Hannity is to Fox News what Demonious X is to POETV

Meerkat - 2008-09-10

Olbermann is theatrical and annoying, but he does tend to use actual facts in his commentaries as opposed to, you know, not actual facts.

Cena_mark - 2008-09-10

Sean Hannity is worth your time. 3 hours a day is all he asks.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-09-10

Sean Hannity isn't worth the urine he leaves on the Republican party's lap.

glasseye - 2008-09-11

Sean Hannity isn't worth the semen on his lip from Karl Rove.

fluffy - 2008-09-10

Obama has got to be a saint, or the reincarnation of Jesus, or something. Holy fucking shit.

Hay Belly - 2008-09-10

Like Obama would've expected anything less? They switched the Dalai Lama with O'Reilly at the last second? Obama isn't a career politician? O'Reilly is the conservative fluff piece, fluffy. Totally predictable and contentless.

fluffy - 2008-09-10

Yeah but still. Even braced for impact it's still gonna hurt when you ram into a wall at 30MPH.

FABIO2 - 2008-09-10

FUCKING THING SUCKS!

dancingshadow - 2008-09-10

Best handling of O'Reilly of anyone I've seen. Could have used some more subtle looks of derision from Obama.

ihounokyaku - 2008-09-11

He handled that brilliantly

Ursa_minor - 2008-09-11

This was really hard to watch - Papa Bear makes my brain and heart hurt.

Cleaner82 - 2008-09-11

Yeah, but I finally buckled down and was glad. O'Reilly is perhaps more self-aware of his own douchebaggery now, because he's doing a lot of apologizing and backpedaling.

phalsebob - 2008-10-08

It's sad that people of such low intelligence and character get a chance to interview people like Obama. It's a waste of his time and our time. There must be real conservative journalists out there with brains and integrity. I can't name any, though.

Will McCain appear on the Jerry Springer show?
