Oh, Robert Altman. Let's see some Robin Williams with gargantuan forearms.
Spit Spingola
I kind of love this movie. In spite of it not living up to the Segar comics or Fleischer cartoons.

Probably the high point of the career of everyone in it. The best comic movie until Sin City. ******

In retrospect, my above dis to the Dick Tracy movie is more bizarre and uncalled for than this entire movie combined.

The Mothership
Is the whole movie this strange? And by strange I mean perfectly well acted but just poorly written? 5 stars.

It's hammy and weird and a not-bad work of two great artists, Altman and Nilsson.
Through the Popeye tag you can see the scenes for two great songs: He Needs Me and Everything is Food.
