All I know is I couldn't stop laughing.

I went from being mildly weired out

to laughing at his open mouthed schizophrenic creepiness,

to becoming uncomfortable that a mentally ill man who's eventually going to commit a crime against an underaged girl is considered a stock character in Japan.

Jesus, this cartoon turned me into Binro.

If Kimura were the only thing going for this series it would still be fuck awesome. The way he tortures Kaorin is pure magic.

I hate it when he makes that face, but I liked it when he walked backwards. And I liked it when he said "I like you" in English. But I mostly didn't like it.

Anime. One of the worst ones.

He is like a walking corpse, and I have to wonder how his horrible visage could ever be found funny. Oddly, I find THAT funny.

Was this intended?

No weeping and sobbing in genuine sorrow upon being kicked out of watching the girls in the pool, but still worthy of five stars.

Somehow, I show this thing to my American friends, they love it either because it's so funny or soo cute.

I show this to my Japanese friends, they don't have a fucking clue how anyone could find this funny.

Five stars for that. Let's get The Best of Osaka next.

The character is horrifying and hilarious at the same time. Hilarifying. Horrlarious. Whatever.

Mostly unfunny, but "STUFFED ANIMAL CAFE!" gets 3 stars.

A couple of things you might have missed. In the manga (comic book version) Kimura was a normal guy until someone asked him why he became a teacher. Too bad they changed that scene in the animated version.

The girl at the end is Kaori. She has an adorable lesbian crush on a tall, quiet girl named Sakaki who's in another class. So of course Kimura takes perticular interest in her and gives her an extra serving of his creepiness, like planting flowers that spell out his and her name in the flower bed.

It's better in comic book form. I read it often when I'm lounging in the den smoking my pipe and stroking my neck beard.

Is this character like this constantly, or are these merely excerpts from his open mouthed staring mode?

And if you think this is just "wtf japan" remember the old man pedo character in family guy. (oh wait too mainstream)
