Given the current political climate....Im surprised drek like this isn't being made again...

Cleaner82 - 2008-05-08

Somewhere in the middle of the first season, the Suntots firebombed the Smoggies' ship. And the laughter died.

snothouse - 2008-05-08

You didn't have to say Canada made this show. It's very apparent.

Cleaner82 - 2008-05-08

Everybody seems to be buddy-buddy. Here in America, it doesn't matter what the conflict is, the villains are evil bastards and they HATE you. As it should be, damn it.

Corman's Inferno - 2008-05-09

Captain Planet would probably throw the Smoggies into the center of the sun.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-05-08

Isn't this the same music used in Muppet Babies?

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2008-05-08

ugh

dementomstie - 2008-05-09

I was hoping that The Smoggies were the good guys and that they just kept beating up the no-good-meddling... whatever they are that are apparently the real heros. OK, maybe beating up is a little severe, but stopping them from saving the planet? That's a show I'd watch.

"We'll stay young forever, and we want the same for YOU!"

Well, bad news on that front, kids.

Was the message here seriously "ENVIRONMENTALISM MAKES YOU IMMORTAL."

Xenocide - 2008-05-09

Oops, forgot my rating.

Good God, that song isn't leaving my brain anytime tonight. I may have to lobotomize myself.

revdrew - 2008-05-09

Well, they obviously didn't want the same for the Smoggies, otherwise they'd have shared some of that Magic Coral with them. Pricks.

RomancingTrain - 2008-05-09

Wow.

RomancingTrain - 2008-05-09

Also, rake on a boat.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-05-09

I've never wanted to punch a song before, but now my knuckles are aching and my speakers are trembling.

DK1987 - 2008-05-09

I love how the Smoggies have planes that drop giant burlap sacks of garbage I guess just to piss people off

gSSEhh - 2008-05-14

In retrospect this series probably shaped my world view more than I'd like to admit.

thebaronsdoctor - 2008-05-23

I used to watch this show all the time as a wee one.

Yitzhak - 2008-07-29

Hell yes!

I will always remember this one episode where the big bald guy was made to operate a giant flying puppet in order to blackmail the pygmies or form some kind of cult among them or something.

The puppet was called The Great Belching Firebeast, and we co-opted the name for my dad's giant reddish-orange Ford crewcab. To this day that's what we call it.

Camonk - 2010-04-25

Christ, I was really out of it during the original bad cartoons week, apparently.
