The little Voltron music flourish is still one of my fondest memories of childhood. The rest of the show was hokey at best and ridiculous at worst (why didn't they just form blazing sword from the get-go and take care of business?) but hot damn, that Voltron theme bit is so great.

With you, man.

mouser - 2008-04-28

Well that's another pissy "me too" series isn't it?

Xenocide - 2008-04-28

You're clearly too young to understand.

mouser - 2008-04-28

I've seen quite a few other "super robot defender of the universe" shows before this one to make my assessment quite an informed one.

i.e. I need to go the fuck outside.

I love how the galaxy has 'good' planets. And how giant ghost birds flying through space.

zatojones - 2008-04-28

cue the animu fags whining about how this show was "neutered" by removing the explicit violence and panty shots

SolRo - 2008-04-28

I won't rate because it was awesome when I was 8, but when adult swim had it on again, no amount of nostalgia could keep it from being nerve-gratingly bad.

baleen - 2008-04-28

wait, solro... are you an adult? that's fucked up man.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-05-05

Well, this certainly isn't the original Japanese plot, I'll tell you that much!

5 stars for Peter Cullen.

The reboot from 2018 or so is pretty good, my daughters like it. I remember the original fondly.
