Well executed war guys. Did you get your "AND THIS IS FOR VIETNAM" feelings over with yet?

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2008-04-21

Action packed war

this is pretty much the way Southwest Airlines handles boarding procedures

Clips like this justify YouTube's existence.

Absolutely horrific.

The people who didn't get on the plane in that video were probably murdered by the North Vietnamese within hours of that taping. (Hence all of the running.)

For more info on post-war Vietnam, watch "The Killing Fields". Once the communists took over Vietnam, they decided to spill over into Cambodia.

This is one war lost by the US, but won by Walter "The War is Lost" Cronkite.

Minus one star for Dan Rather's sideburns.

Actually, the killing depicted in the Killing Fields in Cambodia was stopped by the 1979 invasion by the Vietnamese. In coming to power, the Khmer Rouge got more help from Kissinger's bombs than they did from the VC.

Randroid - 2008-04-21

Yeah, the Vietnamese never really got along with the Khmer Rouge movement. This, centuries of being traditional enemies and the fact that the KR leadership were batshit insane alienated most support in the end.

baleen - 2008-04-21

...This is not to say that the Vietnamese occupation of Cambodia was not characterized by massive quantities of rape and murder itself. It was a bloody guerilla campaign sponsored by the Soviets and China, respectively, and claimed tens of thousands of innocent lives. Hard to tell who died from the war and who died from the Khmer Rouge's general brutality.

So, just to make sure we're all clear on this, war is hell. Thanks for reminding us all.

Cap'n Profan!ty - 2008-04-21
