i can never understand why Keely Smith is like the icemaiden in all these videos. I know Prima and her had some serious rough patches and I used to think thats why she wouldn't get into the music like the guys did, but it doesnt seem so much like she's pissed as much as she's just kinda apathetic.

That's actually a part of the act. Louis Prima is this free-wheeling party man on stage while Keely Smith is the centered and collected half. It's not a reflection of their actual relationship, just showmanship.
