required viewing, but i'm sure you all know that.

Merzbau - 2008-01-10

I don't know about your Scientifical Mystery Theatres or whatnot, but five stars for the haunting, lilting refrain of "Torgo's Theme." Truly one of the landmarks of modern minimal composition.

Stog - 2008-01-10

Manos home town dweller, representin'!

This movie is a goddamn classic.

Lurchi - 2008-01-10

Obviously great but I disapprove of the trend toward putting entire movies on POE (unless they are difficult to find on dvd). Who watches a 90 movie on their computer?

klingerbgoode - 2008-01-10

they are good to watch in bed.

Innocent Bystander - 2008-01-10

You mean apart from all the movies you get from torrents?

Ah and 5 stars for this.

KnowFuture - 2008-01-10

My computer has effectively replaced my TV.

Aelric - 2008-01-10

ditto. between hulu, youtube, google video and torrents, i don't have a cable bill anymore. plus, i get faux-HD quality for most torrents on my monitor without having to drop 0 on a flatscreen.

Aelric - 2008-01-10

plus, for mst3k, you can only get the non-dvd released episodes online anyway.

anvill - 2008-01-11

But I have this one on DVD. Stack overflow.

Aelric - 2008-01-11

but do you have mighty jack or master ninja 1 or time of the apes?

BHWW - 2008-01-10

Visit beautiful Ground Zero!

Can we drop off Tim Weisberg now?

Geez, every shot of this movie looks like someone's
last known photograph.

Oh look, honey, Torgo has a little altar to Baal.

Ladies and gentlemen! Tonight, at the Copacabana, Jules Bedel proudly presents: Pat Benatar and Trisha Nixon!

and many more great lines.

TimbolinoBilchard - 2008-01-10

DO SOMETHING!!!

Millard - 2008-01-10

Joel, this movie has certain...flaws.

Squeamish - 2008-01-10

"I'vE gOt sOmE PoO-dLe MeAt In ThE fReE-zEr..."

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-01-10

Manos...

Lothy - 2008-01-10

The hands of fate?

Lurchi - 2008-01-10

Hands: The Hands of Fate

theFlu - 2008-01-10

SEMI DUPE

DrVital - 2008-01-10

So... Manos then.

13.5 - 2008-01-11

The only episode, so far as I am aware, to completely embrace a hopelessly dull section of the film. Cf. earlier attempts to spice up *ROCK CLIMBING!* and *SANDSTORM!*

I want a lover with a slooooow hand . . . .

Xenocide - 2008-01-11

I think this film was edited in half an hour. That's how long Harold rented the equipment for.

Repomancer - 2008-01-11

the poodle bites
the poodle chews it

Xenocide - 2008-01-11

A film so monotonous, even Joel and the Bots can't think of anything to say for minutes at time, aside from repeating the movie's title. THIS MOVIE BEAT THEM. IT HAS SEQUENCES THAT ARE LITERALLY UNRIFFABLE. And somehow, that makes it even funnier.

And that's worth infinity stars.

andru strange - 2008-01-12

one of the few times i've been happy with a full episode posting.

jangbones - 2008-01-12

"Everybody pick out someone you want to punch."

klingerbgoode - 2008-01-13

John Reynolds, AKA Torgo killed himself before the premiere.

potvin - 2008-01-17

"They had a crew? I do NOT believe they had a crew."

Valvados - 2008-01-18

Every time I see this ep, I remind myself I need to hunt down that Hotel Torgo documentary, but I always keep forgetting about it.

Nikon - 2009-01-02

If you look hard enough, you can find it online. It's pretty neat.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2008-01-29

Crow's monologue during the car trip is my favorite MST3K moment, period. Hands of fate down.

Vicious - 2008-03-12

You mean Tom?

tamago - 2008-03-19

I like how this is pretty much the only movie in memory where Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank actually apologized for sending it to them.

fluffy - 2009-03-14

I can't rate this less than 5 even though the Google Video version is horribly out-of-sync.

Bort - 2014-09-05

This had the makings of a Scooby Doo episode.

"Well gang, I think I know the secret of our haunted hotel. Turns out the Master and Torgo are ..."

"... Frank Zappa and Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson!"

"They were trying to scare everyone off so they could produce their new concept album."
