4-stars not so much for the song - which is good - but for the Mr. Garrison charcter: who is just awesome in general
I hate South Park for it's totally immature fecal fetichism (aka, get over it damnit). But I still watch it for these moments. Take the pooh out and SP becomes a marvel.
It's not the feces that ruins South Park for me, but the social "commentary." When they leave THAT out, they're actually funny.
I take it "irony" is not in your vocabulary.
I used to think this was funny. Then I found out a lot of people really think this way.

There are versions of this song on Youtube put up by hardcore War on Christmas types who think this song is a serious condemnation of heathen religions.

Oh man, that's all sorts of awesome.
You know, this song was actually funnier when they kept it bleeped. But the site of Mr. Garrison smacking Mr. Shintoist with a Christmas tree saves it.
