Robi nie tase ja, brat

Kingofthehobos - 2007-11-16

Just a cultural difference. In poland you can legally attack cops for no reason, police spend all day hiding in a fortifed bunker while citizens take pot shots at the windows.

svraz - 2007-11-16

He wasn't attacking the cops. Look it up. Where do you get your facts from?

seeing as how I live 3 hours from where this happened, and have to hear about it every minute, let me quickly fill in a few missing details / misconceptions:

he didn't speak any english - so he was confused, he had been held by customs for about 8 hours (I've been held for 3 -- it's gay and because they drug swab everything over and over, you get THE RAGE), and witnesses say when the police arrived, he almost cooled down - but they tazered him anyway.
Also, nobody called the emergency response unit (in the airport), and only called the unit after he began to, you know, die.

The RCMP has been fucking up a whole lot, lately.
(On a personal note, they fucked up big time by dragging me by my head away from a rally after I called Stephen Harper (our PM) a "faggot" [since he's extremely anti-gay])

Kingofthehobos: dumbest comment possible.

Ryo-Cokey - 2007-11-16

You spoke way, way too soon.

"Oh, well. Plenty more where he came from."

How's that?

I live in Vancouver and have arrived at YVR many times. Here is what I find weird... Look at the first frame as reference. That room he is in behind the glass is about 30 steps from the street outside. All you have to do is walk outside. You can even see the street from where he is. He had cleared customs and everything. So he was there for 10 hours ? He must have seen hundreds of people pass through that glass door and meet up with people and proceed outside. So what was wrong with him? 10 hours sitting there?... There is no way you could miss the arrivals meeting area because he would be able to see everyone hanging out in the bars in the very next room - all the walls are glass. You don't need to understand english to figure out what to do at that point. Obviously, the RCMP fucked up. But I don't get what was wrong with that guy. Why wouldn't he walk outside and get some air?.. or a beer?

Konversekid - 2007-11-17

What happened was he was supposed to meet his mother at the baggage claim, but she didn't know that it was in a sealed area and he would have to go through customs. So he stayed there for a couple of hours. The mother went to the airport and asked some employees at a kiosk if they could contact him, because he doesn't speak English and she mistakenly told him to stay there. Well no one did anything, and he stayed in there until he wandered his way to customs. His mother was told to go home and they would phone if anything happened. After customs his mother wasn't there so he through a fit, and then people tried to calm him down. Some other people coming from customs actually tried to phone a translator but the service wasn't working. Basically that is what all happened until the airport security guards and later the RCMP came and prematurely tazed him.

WELL I LIVE in a polish neighborhood and believe that polish people should be tazed.

dr_rock - 2007-11-16

Yeah I lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where most businesses signs are in Polish. I felt very unwelcome there most of the time. The Polish dudes were real dickish and aggressive.

One night I was up at like 3 am and heard some noises outside, so natch I checked it out. There was a group of 6 drunk Polish dudes completely destroing someone's car parked in the lot under Meeker Ave with bats and cinder blocks. Hard core assholery. I miss Brooklyn, but not Greenpoint.

LetsFistAgain - 2007-11-17

Seriously i hate to sound like a causenick hippie but everytime theres an immigrant getting tazed people automatically search for something to hold on to. "He deserved it because he screamed/wore shoes/had hair/was a nigger.

EvilHomer - 2007-11-17

No, he deserved it because he was a dirty, textile-mill job stealing, milk drinking, no-hat wearing Polack. You know how "those" people are.
