I don't know why people tolerate shit like this. I mean, next time your car gets stolen, remember that fat bitches in the ghetto are fucking like rabbits and totally okay with putzing out babies they can't afford or mother properly without fathers who do their duty, mostly because they'd rather be oversexed than responsible, and you and I will end up paying for it either through public funding or getting our shit stolen. Hip hop needs to stop promoting culture that harms black people.

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

So hip hop (or R&B, in this case) needs to stop writing songs that glorify, um, sex in the context of a domestic relationship? Should they start writing abstinence anthems, or just go full-bore into songs about how sex and romance are awful?

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

Yes.

Hip hop/R&B culture is a problem and people need to wake up and realize that a lot of the issues in the ghetto arise from people who don't know how to take care of themselves and their families. And then they go and blame whitey for the problems. I have a huge problem with this. I am not the problem. Irresponsibility and the lack of stable families resulting from it is the problem.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

pardon the grammatical errors.

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

So you actually think that replacing romance with nihilism in popular music listened to by minorities would somehow ease your tax burden?

What a charmer you must be in person.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

My car was stolen this week by thugs who've been terrorizing my girlfriend's apartment building. I can't afford another car right now. I'm just sick of ghetto people infringing on my right to live like a hard-working man should, and I see a lot of cultural problems that we can fix that nobody wants to take responsibility for, and I'm tired of people acting like this widening ghetto problem is just happening for no reason. I'm blaming people now, and those people are the ones promoting the culture. Shame on them. I want to put an end to ghetto culture.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

to stopheles, romance = "MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH"

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

And this is epitomized by a song about a guy sexing the woman he lives with?

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

It's caused by rampant sexuality without the reinforcement of character. The highs without the responsibilities. Yes.

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

So do you have the same problem with rock songs played by white people which contain the message "sex is nice"? Should all rock songs avoid describing relationships without, you know, going into the importance of waiting until both parties have stable employment before planning children, and making sure to live in a neighborhood with a good public school?

Or is it just that it wasn't poor WHITE folks who've harrassed your girlfriend lately?

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

And I'm not defending R.Kelly -- I think he's a total hack.

But there's no way that your rant about how black people shouldn't write or listen to songs that endorse sex, because they'll just end up "fucking like rabbits" and "you and I will end up paying for it either through public funding or getting our shit stolen" isn't racist. And by attacking all black pop music that involves romance and sexuality -- which you said shouldn't be made any more -- you're saying there's no room for Al Green or Marvin Gaye as well.

Just saying. You've actually made me side with R.Kelly, sorta, and that is a rather amazing feat.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

Yeah, because attacking ghetto culture is racist. Listen, I've had it with you clowns out there suggesting that black people are all this way, and that attacking this "thug" R&B culture produced by thug artists like R Kelly is the same thing as attacking black people. Are all black people like R Kelly to you? Because THAT is fucking racist.

I know what the thugs who live outside her apartment look like, and they dress and act like this fucking "artist." And the other ones who've stolen shit from me dress and act like him too, because I know who they are. Am I racist for taking a stand against a CULTURE? Isn't it wrong to suggest that attacking a culture that's comprised of a lot of black people is the same thing as disliking black people? SHAME ON YOU. I can expect good behavior out of black people if I want, just like I expect good behavior out of white people.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

That last comment was written before I'd seen your last one. I think we can both agree with the fact that R Kelly's a hack.

Thatcher Pennywhistle - 2007-10-26

Billy: these 5 stars are for you. You filled the space between R Kelly and your car getting stolen with a black hole of retarded and I thank you for it. Crunch munch nigga.

Billy Buttsex - 2007-10-26

Thatcher: Yeah, I rule.

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

From the video evidence, R Kelly's concept of "sex in the kitchen" involves a folding chair and a rimjob (and, of course, pausing to give a confused look at the camera).

Also, isn't "crunch" about the LEAST sexy onomatopoeia possible when describing sex?

citrusmirakel - 2007-10-26

All right, now I want keyboard foley accompaniment every time I have sex.

theSnake - 2007-10-26

Someone please explain to me how music video submissions work. I submitted this last night at like 3am. I just woke up. Never saw it in the Hopper, and never saw it on the front page, yet somehow it has been approved and is getting ratings.

What the fuck is going on? Put this on the front page for everyone to see its glory!!!

Stopheles - 2007-10-26

Chet's moving music videos onto their own site, but hasn't made a link between PoeTV and this site yet (he said he's working on it).

phalsebob - 2007-10-26

Nevermind the 'Ghetto Culture' diatribe... this sucks in every conceivable way. It is childish, unimaginative, cookie-cutter, and drab. This is the anime for black kids and wiggers.

Old_Zircon - 2007-10-28

In Europe they sometimes use the term "deep soul" for soul music recorded before the 80s, to differentiate it from contemporary soul, which is shallow and superficial.
