The bad guys in this show were so much cooler than the good guys. It inadvertently reinforced a lot of ideas that criminals were cool.

Dr. Lobotomy - 2007-07-29

Exactly, there was something cool about a bad guy who not only carried a machine gun around in a violin case but also had one grafted into his chest. That's dedication.

The good guys only had LongArm and only because he had a Bionic Commando vibe around the same time the game came out.

EvilHomer - 2007-07-30

I think just about everything back then reinforced that idea. Take DARE, for example. Our local neighborhood DARE officer drove to school each week in this wicked awesome Corvette, painted black and done up to look like the Batmobile or something. He always made a big deal about how "the DARE Mobile" was "confiscated from a drug dealer", apparently to drive home the point that "crime doesnt pay"... like hell it doesn't! My dad can barely afford a station wagon on his "respectable" teacher's salary, while drug dealers get the friggin' Batmobile?!

I'm tellin' ya, the bad guys get all the cool toys.

A big part of was the trend of having all the good guys be smiling dufuses. Who wanted to pretend to be a smiling dufus with a blonde pompadour when you could be the dude with the snake's head and black gloves? Shit yeah!

Kharnov - 2007-07-29

Something about this show looks very, very familiar..

I'm guessing it didn't last very long?

Jeff Fries - 2007-07-30

I can't remember a single episode but the opening theme was the perfect way for a grade schooler to begin his morning.

Camonk - 2007-07-29

Plus that redheaded crook lady was hot.

boner - 2007-07-30

Can't remember anything about this show except that I watched it & liked it quite a bit. That is all

tenten - 2007-07-30

I had the action figures for chest-gun guy and the mad scientist. Don't remember their names, but the scientist figure came with a robot sidekick named Buzzbomb. Also, I remember the mad scientist in the cartoon had the same voice as Mother Brain from Captain N. I was quite effeminate.

Caminante Nocturno - 2007-07-30

The chest-gun guy was named Buttons McBoomboom, and the scientist was named Dr. Badvibes. I gave up trying to forget things like this a while back.

Our childhoods have really arisen to flip us the collective bird today.

Also, the hot redhead was Nightshade.

fluffy - 2007-07-30

The reason this cartoon didn't last is because it didn't have enough half-naked wifebeaters in trailer park incidents.

Xenocide - 2007-07-30

At first it's kind of reassuring to think that in the future the only criminals left are a single gang consisting of about eight weirdos. Then you realize that the entire gang gets arrested in almost every episode, and in the next one they're back on the street again. So basically this show taught kids that the pursuit of justice is pointless.

Xiphias - 2007-07-30

Bulletproof has bedroom eyes.

VorpalGuy - 2007-07-30

Oh, yeah, I remember this show now! Everybody had their own little gimmicky capture in the intro. And all the male COPS had big, and beefy and had barrel-chests.

Afgh - 2007-07-31

This was Nick C's favourite show.

Lindner - 2007-08-19

... I bought this on DVD recently. It's as wonderful as I remembered.

King of Balls - 2008-11-20

That's a good-assed theme song.
