These aren't dudes who have lost their heads in a blind rage, these are dudes who are having fun. Look at the smiles on their faces! From the commies to the fascists to the pussy hats, there's libidinal element to protest, the sociopolitical equivalent of getting your rocks off. If you aren't kind of self-aware of that as a motivator, if you don't have to weigh the reality of retaliatory violence against you, or if you aren't used to people saying "no" in a way that sticks, you end up with castration anxiety like these assholes because you don't know how to survive (freudian) castration and still be a man. It's not surprising that this is a reaction from an overwhelmingly male cohort of CEOs and business owners and other types that like to think of themselves as having Big Dick Energy. Like the dude says, they're all united in an obsession with demographics and the Great Replacement and outbreeding the competition. Jan 6th was a political jizz, and if you don't take that into account I don't think you're going to get very far with them.

As a white male, I know that in times of economic uncertainty, the thought of losing my privilege can be terrrifying. Capitalism creates the conditions where many people feel they need any advantage.

I think they weren't expecting to be prosecuted and jailed, and I think knowing they will might make a big difference.

I'm not saying there won't be violence, but I'm expecting less violence from middle managers, Realtors, and Amway enthusiasts.
