just search a news feed for libs of tiktok or scan her wikipedia. She's a major force in the 'groomer' narrative. the MO is 1. make hay out of the occasional genuine creep 2. make a big deal out of harmless but hate-magnet "cringe" types to drive engagement and whip the usual suspects into a frenzy 3. shine a spotlight on LGBT people in low level social or political appointments, schools/libraries/hospitals, let the huge internet hate mobs that follow her do their thing

It is extremely stupid internet drama and also how politics work now. Job losses, good people quitting public service and being replaced by Moms for Liberty types, bomb threats, school violence ensue. You should at least be somewhat aware, unfortunately.

I've followed LOTT on twitter for that last few years, and for a while there in the beginning (before LGBT activists got better infosec wrt social media) it really was posting some shocking stuff, videos that teachers and coaches openly shared on their own social media accounts that were basically "yes we are grooming these kids and encouraging transition," social media influencer families with 3 or 4 trans kids somehow, and videos of sexually explicit drag performances with children present. I checked it out recently and it seems to be generic rightwing culture war stuff now. But the uncomfortable reality about LOTT was that, for the issues you're really mad about, it was only just holding up a mirror.

There has to be genuine hate. One doesn't just start out such a social media presence without that. There's no guarantee that it'll go anywhere. I'm sure there are thousands of wannabes for every profitable grifter.

I still think it's more indifference than hate.

Someone who hocks a loogie off a balcony into a crowd below doesn't hate the person who gets hit by it.
