The OG animation is pretty dated.

I don’t mind anime remakes. New, good, animation of classic series just means more people would actually watch them instead of avoiding them.

Well, it's the Evangelion of anime slapstick harem comedies, obviously.

I dunno, though. Old hand drawn anime may look washed out and grainy at times, but I'll take that any day over flat, lifeless digital animation. Plus I was never brave enough to finish the original series because there are over 200 episodes and like a dozen OVAs to click though. My attention span is garbage when it comes to watching any show all the way though.
