"I'm a just another burden hogging yet another bed

and someone with unpreventable problems likely might be dead"

Seriously, let them fall. I'm done with these fuckers.

Crackersmack - 2022-02-02

that's eugenics

kensingtonGore - 2022-02-02

No, they're volunteering for the chance to off themselves with a preventable disease

Fox-Pixar Media - 2022-02-02

Didn’t you know that I have returned after a year

yogarfield - 2022-02-02

DEAR POETV

FOX PIXAR MEDIA HAS RETURNED

PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND UPVOTE EVERYTHING HE POSTS BECAUSE WE NEED QUALITY STUFF AND I'M NOT JOKING

yogarfield - 2022-02-02

DEAR FOX-PIXAR MEDIA

As an ambassador for this site, and a member of the Secret 8 (who cares now, we've violated the prime directive already and 4 of the 8 are gone so I don't care about spilling secrets), would you collaborate on a short film if we had a modicum of directive control?

I work in film, and the first thing I see is a gimme option for the production bumper. PIXAR and POETV could be swapped easily and our venture could be "PIETV".

SolRo - 2022-02-03

No surprise at neoconsmack defending antivaxers

Crackersmack - 2022-02-03

I'm just saying that if you think people should die for refusing a medical procedure, you are endorsing eugenics. Scratch a liberal and a nazi collaborator bleeds.

casualcollapse - 2022-02-03

no cs lol its a lethal personal choice is all it is

Spike Jonez - 2022-02-03

Cracker, you dumb cracker, it's eugenics when it's forced on you. Not when you kill yourself.

Gmork - 2022-02-03

Lmao just from the context it's so obvious whatever cs says is a bad faith or totally dishonest take

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2022-02-03

I can certainly understand the frustration that leads people to want to deny care to the unvaxxed, but it's still a dumb idea.

We cared for AIDS patients when everyone said it was their fault that they got infected. We care for lifelong smokers. We care for people who get injured in car wrecks, even if they were driving around boozed up.

I think it's good to advertise that not getting vaccinated may lead to a person who needs care not getting it in time, but that's about it. Doctors face care-rationing decisions all the time, but they should not have to make these kinds of moral choices.

yogarfield - 2022-02-03

@cracker "Scratch a liberal and a nazi collaborator bleeds" is legitimately one of the dumbest fucking takes I have ever read. Standing applause.

glasseye - 2022-02-03

Eh, it's not the dumbest take, but the real quote is "scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds," which is obvious and true.

Imagine fighting for literal eugenics and then claiming you're not a nazi lmao.

Health care is a human right that we should afford to everyone, including those that make dumb decisions due to propaganda. You fight those dumb decisions with education and good policies, not smug insults and murder.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2022-02-03

Frankly, I'm not sure that denying care to the unvaccinated would be eugenics because I don't think anybody is seriously arguing that this would improve the genetic characteristics of any population. It's not like anybody's seriously arguing that unvaccinated people are genetically inferior, even if they're calling them stupid or irresponsible. Denying the unvaxxed care is more like punishing people for their bad decisions, which I am not going to support here.

Also, I love it when people call liberals fascists. I mean, they do it to annoy liberals, but I imagine that fascists might also get offended by the comparison, and I find that idea funny.

SolRo - 2022-02-03

Ironic that the video where our alt-right “tru-leftists” go fully mask off is a Covid video.

Anywho. Give the idiots treatment, a huge civil fine for wasting resources and a quick chortle if any still die with treatment.

yogarfield - 2022-02-04

@glasseye Big pause, but congrats on going Poe's Law here.

It's not eugenics when they're doing it to themselves, and it's not fascist to be frustrated with vast swaths of morons that possess the deadly combination of selfishness, overconfidence and ignorance to the point that flaunting the advice of medical professionals is both a social medal of honor and a danger to everyone around them. Do you see that bit where they don't give a fuck about anybody but themselves?

So sorry if I don't shed a tear while they limp to yet another hospital bed and film a "I was wrong please gofund me" or realize that even if they survive they will likely have side effects for the rest of their lives.

I'm not a eugenicist, I'm just disappointed.

glasseye - 2022-02-04

@togarfield: Being frustrated is totally fine, I'm frustrated too. COVID nearly killed me, and seeing shit like this, anti-masking, and the utter failure of our country to address this pandemic is awful. People not getting vaccinated is super stupid.

But denying people fundamental rights because you don't like the things they say isn't an appropriate response.

@SolRo - lmao, horseshoe theory? Surely you can't be that fucking stupid.

"Fascists and those that oppose them are totally the same! We need to meet in some middle ground where we only murder SOME of the people I don't like." Real galaxy brain stuff.

@Miss Henson's 6th grade class: I "love" it that so many liberals don't understand why fascists love their ideology. I've seriously heard liberals defend capitalism as being anti-Nazi, which is quite the take.

Crackersmack - 2022-02-04

we can revisit this topic when Trump is president again and Republicans are in full control of the federal government and see how many of you still think it's a good idea to let the government decide to let people die for refusing to undergo a medical procedure

jfcaron_ca - 2022-02-04

I'm just incredulous that people are talking about health care as a human right in the context of the USA. The fuck planet are you guys on?

It's fascist/nazi/eugenics to prioritize treatment for people who chose to follow public health guidelines and such, but it's totally OK to use wealth as a filter for who gets care otherwise.

Imho treating vaccinated people first makes sense in a triage situation because they are less likely to take further actions to endanger themselves and the public, i.e. more likely to survive after the treatment. The same reason an army doctor would treat the guy with his arm blown off before the guy with his guts spilling out: survival probability.

yogarfield - 2022-02-04

@glasseye

I think a fitting analogy would be to imagine if there were droves of disinformation addicts that magnanimously handwaved actual science for two years before pouting and begging for help from their deathbeds while endangering others with their infected status and also adding unnecessary stress to our medical systems to the point where people who need emergency care can't get it and die, and doctors and staff are quitting out of depression of because of how how dangerous and insurmountable the stupidity of a so many Americans has proven to be.

Oh wait.. that's what's happening. Give me a sec on the analogy.
