I loved his Pizza Man and psychopathic elderly mom stories back in the day. I won't deny he was a good storyteller.
But then I played the latter bit for my mom. She got outraged at the part where they phoned up Breuer's mother on the O&A show, pretending to be psychiatrists, and essentially humiliating her in front of a wide audience without her knowledge. My own mom went on a tear, speculating that Breuer's must have no love for his mother at all to do that.
That was a teaching moment for me. It made me wonder if I was wrong, too, for liking it.
His standup game was always weak though, and it's a shame he seems to be going down the Hollywood-vampires-drinking-children's-blood path. Remember when conspiracy theories were FUN, and they didn't turn half of a nation's population into idiots and influence elections and stuff?
