Fuck I wish I'd had a science teacher like that.

I just wanna kiss him.. See how that science dick taste

Old_Zircon - 2021-06-12

Our science teacher didn't do stuff like this but he DID have the self awareness to take us on a field trip to the local community college to see a science teacher who DID do stuff like this melt the shit out of a bunch of things with thermite.

Neat, I should really take high school physics again. Whenever I'm dealing with electricity outta the wall, there's basically an unlimited supply of amperage from the utility, so thinking about a ground fault like what he's doing current=voltage/resistance therefore you're looking at i=200kV/.01Ohm or something like that so i=a giant explosion. Hard for me to even think about current being limited by something other than resistance.

Yeah my father told me that the wall had absurdly high current. And of course to always test uncertain contacts with the back of my hand

Mister Yuck - 2021-06-20

Nowadays you can but a non-contact tester for about $20 at Home Depot, Fluke and Klien being good brands. Or you can go old school and ground your pinkie and touch what your testing with a finger on the same hand. But don't do that.

Voice of my high school physics teacher in my head the whole first half of this video: “VOLTS DON’T MOVE!”
