Right out of the cow it actually has the enzymes to digest itself. They get denatured when it is pasteurized.

I don't know anything about how this would impact the cat but I know my cats are annoying enough in regards to me going to get their wet food in a can- I would not encourage this behavior because then they would expect it every day.
