I watched this recently on amazon prime, I think, it's a great TV movie, space suits, health clubs, stepford people, and HELL!

Also has Joanna Cassidy of blade runner (she played Zhora) lookin damn good in it as well. It's a weird cultural artifact that is fun to watch. I spent most of the time admiring the interior decorating and getting a dopamine hit off of the aesthetics.

My mom made us watch this when it came on because she was a massive "All My Children" fan.

I think I remember a scene where the little girl is possessed by a demon and is chopping her stuffed animals up with a crowbar?

I grew up on these in a part of rural New England where cable is still a relatively new thing. I've been on a huge tv movie binge recently, you can get a weird assortment on dvd for nothing these days, and on the whole I'm loving them more than most new offerings from the studios and streaming, like, they're so cheap and weirdly adorable. This one's pretty stand out, but I've really been into the hordes of "teenage girl gets super witchy powers" ones, I'm assuming in the wake of "Carrie".

Just scored a home-burned copy of "Harvest Home" and dying to watch it, I remember that terrifying the living shit out of me as a small child.

Also the original nightstalker tv movies were sooooooooo good.

Oh, yeah made-for-TV horror movies were the absolute shit. I remember the original "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," "Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell," "Gargoyles," Trilogy of Terror" and "Don't Go to Sleep."

And there was one called "I Desire" about a vampire lady posing as a sex worker to lure victims. There's another I can't remember the name of about a woman who turned into a giant spider.

Oh, and "Burnt Offerings" scared the Hell out of me when I was 6.

oh hell I had forgotten that Burnt Offerings was a tv movie, love that one, watched Don't Be Afraid of the Dark last winter also great. Scored a really weird one, like really weird one, I have no memory of it since I would have been 3 when it aired - "Horror at 37,000 Feet" with William Shatner and Chuck Conners - it involves druidic horror and human sacrifice on a transatlantic flight, and it is totally off the hook, I think the cash-grab title actually kept it obscured behind the TZ episode, find it, I got it off ebay for basically nothing and it's up there.

Will check out Don't go to sleep, although the title is tickling the back of my brain may have seen it.

I remember being scared shitless by the ending of Stephen King's Nightflyer.

I found the frozen dog particularly upsetting as a child.

Kill all the humans you want, Celtic demons, but leave the dog alone, you assholes.

Love Lucci's suit.

I just love how none of the background characters thinks this is odd. Which leads me to conclude this was a whole thing in the early 80s.

If memory serves, almost everyone in that town had their soul sucked out and replaced with a demon so they wouldn't have cared if the boss fried someone.

You just convinced me to watch this all the way through!
