Is he a sock puppet for any country thats contained covid-19 well? Eg. South Korea.
They are just using the publicly available data in that graph. The data is understandably shitty from *many* countries, eg. some countries are not testing nearly enough to know how many people are actually infected (eg. US) but that data is whats available to everyone atm, and they are graphing it in helpful way.
Also, is how they contain a virus such an important point of prestige for the CCP that they would go to such lengths to look good at it?
I mean they did stupidly *create* it, so they look pretty bad in that regard.

The most meaningful data I've found are this regularly updated spreadsheet of US cases/deaths PER CAPITA by state:

and the daiyly increase graph on the Johns Hopkins dashboard:

The per capita figures give a good, fairly granular view of how severe things are right now, and the daily increase is a good overview of how things are progressing. Obviously there are a lot of other factors but with the public data we have now, I feel like these are by far the best metrics to keep up on.
