I remember when this went down, I went and saw Batman 2 at the theater with a friend whose parents didn't give a shit about what kind of movies we watched. The next week this little sell out was making the rounds on afternoon talk shows. My mom saw one of these shows, turned to me and said "you're not going to see that movie!"
At least Batman Returns HAD notoriety. A Closer Look/The Faith Daniels Show was one of those things NBC threw in the 12:30 PM slot, as the best any show in said slot could hope for was "uhhh, we beat Loving".
Kids absolutely LOVE clowns and duckie boats. Or at least they USED TO, before Danny DeVito RUINED them with his raw charisma and strangely egg-shaped body.
