I still prefer a expansive buggy mess with player volition and agency than a super-tight, polished, yet restrictive, game.

Imo the odd weird bug/crash is less immersion breaking than the game always forbidding you to implement your ideas via invisible walls and other such bs restrictions.

People who focus on this kind of bugs dont really *get* computer games imo. They dont understand that a good game happens in your imagination, the graphics and audio are just there to help.

Yeah, I haven't played this game yet but I have to agree with your primary point. Freedom over polish.

Additonal:

You can still have a super-tight but non-restrictive game. Eg. Spacechem or any (zachtronic industries game) (or go even!) Within the system of the game you are free to do whatever is possible. The fact that the system happens to be a grid of limited elements or something makes the creators job a lot easier.
If your system is going to be a 3d world with people moving around and stuff, then you have a lot of work to do now, but at least embrace the system you've chosen. Dont weasel out with ure invisble walls and painted on doors and such.

Plus these will all be fixed in some megapatch or something, or at least CAN be easily addressed given the same volition, down the line. Back when hunting down a patch off some BBS at 36 kbits was the norm, bugs we're a pain. Now, make sure your dvrs running because that hilarious glich might be gone next time you boot it up.

Sometimes bugs are fun. Sometimes.

So Bethesda then.

As a resident of Tamriel, I fail to see what the problem is.

When you want realism you should always go with Desert Bus.

Looks pretty good to me.
