He didn't actually ask for immunity, not that it really changes the nature of what's going on here. Not going to get my hopes up about impeachment, but here's to hoping.

Old_Zircon - 2017-04-01

Impeachment won't really improve things much unless it takes the whole administration out of power.

Old_Zircon - 2017-04-01

It's unanimous!

jangbones - 2017-03-31

President Pence is way worse

cognitivedissonance - 2017-03-31

On a policy level, yes. On a likelihood to push the nuclear button after receiving a scathing Yelp review for his restaurant, no.

SolRo - 2017-03-31

But is he worse than acting president bannon?

Cena_mark - 2017-04-01

Pense is not worse. He's just normal GOP evil, as well as the fact that he'd be a nuetered lameduck the moment he steps into office. Just as Ford was when Nixon resigned.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2017-04-01

Yes, because Steve Bannon is an incompetent dope who thinks he's a mix of Littlefinger and Palpatine. If we're gonna have evil people trying to run a shadow government, I say let them try governing strategies they learned while watching House of Cards.

Hazelnut - 2017-04-01

The sheer incompetence of Trump's people has been the great early gift of 2017 (so far at least... can't rely on that luck holding out, though I sure hope it does). Bannon wanted Trump to be Hitler and so far he's just a knock-off Ceausescu.

jangbones - 2017-04-01

Trump has to go because he is almost certainly a security threat and compromised by Russia.

But the info is out there and even GOP power players have to see the writing on the wall at this point. I can't imagine they are not grooming and prepping Pence to take over and to get the most out of having control of three branches of government until 2018.

I think its very possible the Goppers are holding on to Trump just long enough to get Gorsuch through and some other crazy policy shit started. Then they leap en masse to expel the sitting president.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2017-04-01

Bannon is on record comparing himself to Vader and Bane which is what we all did when we were fucking 10 years old. Somehow he failed upward and made himself very rich.

I can't wait to see how Fox News changes the narrative on Trump in the next several weeks as this scandal unfolds. Poor Hannity is going to take it especially hard when the higher ups decide its time for Trump to go. How will he live without mouthfuls of Trump cum remains uncertain.

Bobonne - 2017-04-01

Pence is a pretty hardcore Dominionist. So he'd probably ACTIVELY work toward ending the world (so jeezus can come back), rather than Trump's accidental doing so out of some dumb impulses.

So, you know, tomato, tomahto.

Old_Zircon - 2017-04-01

"Cena_mark

Trump is just normal GOP evil with no filter or self awareness.

Old_Zircon - 2017-04-01

Well, that and more open ties to organized crime than usual. Trumps more like the GOP you see at the state level (where the work gets done).

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-04-01

It's a complex calculus with no clear answer. I'd only offer that having the orange bastard around makes the dems look great, and his buffoonish inability to accomplish a task short circuits a lot of the usual repub evil. Without him, the R's would unify and some really terrible legislation would be enacted.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2017-04-02

Well that should be happening any day now when this clown car fire of an administration finally hits the audience and all we're left with is the singed odor of burning rubber noses.

But until then, meh. Enjoy the show, kids.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2017-04-02

Also, President Pence will definitely be a thing because Paul Ryan wants to be vice president really badly and he's next in line, doncha know.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-03-31

They ain't giving it to him. Whatever for?

badideasinaction - 2017-03-31

They don't want him to pull an Oliver North and use immunity to take all the blame no corroborating evidence so his testimony isn't needed, no immunity.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2017-04-01

What's really sad is Flynn was so goddamned eager to snitch the intelligence committee literally said "We're not even at the stage where we need anyone to snitch" and Flynn was like "Well I'll be here in the corner when you inevitably need me" and the Senate was like "Great, we'll contact you when things become unsustainably obvious."

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-04-01

Trump put him up to it. Bad's prior comment is to the point: they need someone to take the rap and he'd do it with the immunity. FBI would do it too, but Trumpy's not tied in to the Establishment like Reagan was so no cover for him. As we saw today, they told him to fuck off. Things should get interesting.

BTW, apparently Comey see's himself as Reinhold Niebuhr. What a larf.

Maggot Brain - 2017-04-01

When Karl Rove says you're on thin ice you might as well be in the water by now.

“I have a belief that we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards, and part of my job is to make sure that, for example, at the C.I.A., you’ve got extraordinarily talented people who are working very hard to keep Americans safe. I don’t want them to suddenly feel like they’ve got spend their all their time looking over their shoulders.”

-President Trump at Town Hall Last Thursday

just kidding, you know that mass opiate is pure uncut Colombian Obama.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-04-01

There is actually a cannabis varietal here called Obama Kush, an indica dominant cross with sedating and euphoric properties. Quite popular in this blue state, I am told. Haven't tried the stuff myself, Kush's generally being big pillowy buds with a thick and ropey smoke I find unpleasant.

fedex - 2017-04-01

If you guys can get Lambs' Bread wherever you are, I highly recommend it.
But then I like very compact, high-denssity buds that, after being dried a little bit, actually turns to keef-like powder when you crush them.

Lambs' Bread, baby.

Maggot Brain - 2017-04-01

I go for the Beyond Blue Dream.

Oscar Wildcat - 2017-04-01

Let a thousand flowers bloom, I say.

But yeah, it's hard to fault a classic sativa like Lamb's bread, although it's difficult to find samples here that clock in higher than about 18% THC. Super Silver Haze, and various Haze crosses, are a personal fave. It takes forever to flower, so few growers can muster the patience, but the results are delicious. Many adhere to the Girl Scout Cookie cult, and who can really argue with them? ( that bud structure Fed is so fond of ) Another remarkable strain is Gorilla Glue #4, very distinctive and thought provoking high. The philosopher's stone, that.

Much can be said about this subject. Plus, it irritates the hell out of some people here, so we get an EvilHomerian bonus. Keeping the E in POETV.

Maggot Brain - 2017-04-01

All praise to The Haze.

Short Story Time; few years back I was apart of this band and we didn't have a name yet so I suggested "Super Silver Haze" as the name for the band. Kind of dumb name, but what ever. They we're all into that being name until they found out "Super Silver Haze" was a kind of bud because they didn't want to be known as "that kind of band."

Gmork - 2017-04-02
