Stars mostly for the weird mugging in the background. That guy on the left almost eats his own nose at one point.

Maggot Brain - 2017-02-25

The DNC doesn't care about soccer moms!

StanleyPain - 2017-02-25

Wow, some incredibly irrational and ridiculous views from someone over 20 years ago whose opinions have probably evolved significantly since then. Good thing she's not President, cuz wow....having an adult with generally adult views and an instinct for political self-preservation who, while flawed, is at least an intelligent diplomat would have SUUUUCKED compared to a narcissistic manchild with literally no coherent understanding of the world we live in and whose strings are so easily pulled that teenagers on twitter can bait him into meltdowns.

BBUT...BOTH OF THEM ARE THE SAAAAMMEEEE, MAAAANNNNN *bong hit*

Lurchi - 2017-02-25

I would suggest that if you can't win an election against "a narcissistic manchild with literally no coherent understanding of the world we live in and whose strings are so easily pulled that teenagers on twitter can bait him into meltdowns" then politics might not be the career for you!

Lurchi - 2017-02-25

also this is from 2005

Bort - 2017-02-25

"I would suggest that if you can't win an election against "a narcissistic manchild with literally no coherent understanding of the world we live in and whose strings are so easily pulled that teenagers on twitter can bait him into meltdowns" then politics might not be the career for you!"

People Hillary got more votes than:
- Bernie
- Jill
- Trump

Hooker - 2017-02-25

It's like scoring who won a football game by yards gained on offense.

Pillager - 2017-02-25

“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

— Hillary Clinton, March 2008

Yet Clinton cynically told corporate executives at a 2011 State Department roundtable on investment opportunities in Iraq, “It’s time for the United States to start thinking of Iraq as a business opportunity.”

— Hillary Clinton, 2011

"They should be sent back as soon as it can be determined who responsible adults in their families are, because there are concerns about whether all of them should be sent back," the potential 2016 presidential candidate said in an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

— Hillary Clinton, June 2014

"Hillary Clinton. She’ll say anything, and change nothing. It’s time to turn the page. Paid for by Obama for America."

Obama 2008 Campaign Ad

She lost for many good reasons. I pity anyone who still thinks that worthless, senile hag had chance in Hell versus the Orange Goblin.

Hazelnut - 2017-02-25

I liked Hillary. Please don't call her a hag. But we clearly can't win with Hillary, or with Clintonism generally.

I have high hopes for the new head of the DNC, this Tom Perez guy, though I don't know much beyond what I read about him today...

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-25

"Bort
People Hillary got more votes than:
- Bernie
- Jill
- Trump"

One of these people was not in the race.

Bort - 2017-02-26

But one of these people was in A race against her quite recently, and she trounced him without even resorting to the smears and character attacks that he did. He would have fared much worse against Trump.

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-26

It's about a year too late to be worrying about this, but comparing the primaries to the general election is irrelevant at best, if not outright disingenuous.

An outsider candidate buoyed up by a groundswell of grassroots support unprecedented in modern electoral politics nearly wins against a firmly entrenched candidate with the full backing of the party, decades of name recognition and majority support withing the party itself is not at all comparable to the situation we would have seen in the general election, where Sanders would have been a candidate representing the party of the majority, with all of the logistic and financial support Clinton had PLUS the massive grassroots support he built in the primaries, against one of the least popular general election candidates in the country's history and without a doubt the least popular of the last century.

Not comparable at all.

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-26

Hazelnut, Tom Perez is more or less the choice of the "stay the course because it has been working well so far (and keep the corporate donor money flowing in unchecked while we're at it)" contingent but he doesn't seem like a lost cause. He's no Keith Ellison but he might be OK if the progressive wing of the DNC keeps the pressure on.

Hazelnut - 2017-02-28

I'll take that. A pragmatist establishment dude who LISTENS to the progressives isn't bad for DNC head.

infinite zest - 2017-02-25

Weird.. as I watched this I sort of assumed this was from the '90s Mortal Kombat Scare until she mentioned what I assume are GTA and Fallout (or some other cannibal simulator). 2006 huh? That's really not very long ago.

Chocolate Jesus - 2017-02-25

is this what you fucking adult babies care about?

Chocolate Jesus - 2017-02-25

poetv can't die fast enough

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2017-02-25

CJ is no 'adult baby' I imagine he spends his days, sipping neat scotch, smoking his pipe and scowling into his newspaper.

Nikon - 2017-02-25

That person was never supposed to be president. She was corrupt and unprofessional, and she lost to Obummer, she would have lost to Bernie without the DNC intefereing, and she lost to Trump.

Even today, she can't get it through her thick skull that the country wants her to crawl back under the rock she crawled out from.

Bort - 2017-02-25

If you are all butthurt about the DNC's "interference", just imagine your wailing and shrieking as the Republicans reminded America that Sanders is a socialist atheist Jew from New England who has never held a non-government job and wants to raise your taxes. Oh THAT'S a crowd-pleaser!

Pillager - 2017-02-25

@ Bort, he would have fought for the working men & women.

Does HRC suffer memory problems or just character problems?

It doesn't really matter. The democrats need to stop selling GOP lite & get back to shoring up their base, while there's still time.

Nikon - 2017-02-25

@Pillager that's not going to happen. They're too busy making money.

Accidie - 2017-02-25

WOW Bort, it's almost as if everybody should pander more to the center, after all that's how Hillary won against Obama and Trump.

Are you still going to be peddling that line, like, still?

Bort - 2017-02-26

Well the Left sure as fuck didn't propel Russ Feingold to victory this time. And single payer went down 79% - 21% in Colorado, that's right, the Left's unicorn couldn't crack a quarter of the vote in a blue state. Any plan that assumes the Left will show up in numbers is a losing plan.

The Democrats should focus on minority issues; at least minorities vote Democratic if they show up, so the Democrats will just have to persuade them that backing the Democrats makes a difference. I don't anticipate that will be so hard given recent events. And white Lefties ought to join the Republicans -- it's where most of them will end up anyway -- but before they start obsessing about their taxes, they could try to reform the Republicans into being more economically populist.

Old_Zircon - 2017-02-27

Democrats should focus on class, which speaks directly to the needs of the majority of citizens across ethnic and political boundaries, but they won't as long as their leadership is drawn from the very class that is oppressing that majority.

When the democratic establishment focuses on "minority issues" its track record over the past few decades is generally one of condescending, crypto-racist infantilization and a colonialist rhetoric of cultural inferiority. Sure it's a lot better than what the GOP offers but that's not exactly a high bar.

You might want to go to your local library and spend some time with the book "Stamped From the Beginning" - I know I am going to as soon as it arrives at mine. I've only been able to read a bit of it in the mean time but it really seems to tie together the intersection of class an racism across political lines in a way that is ignored too often in similar discussions.

And remember, "race" IS class.

Hooker - 2017-02-25

Enough with the Feminist Frequency videos already.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2017-02-25

Trump has regurgitated this same absurd line of rhetoric, and has unironically blamed video games for real life violence, and while this video is from almost 11 years ago, Trump has said that shit as recently as five years ago:

https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/280812064539283457< br />
In Hillary's defense, she wasn't by a long shot the only one saying this shit back then. These were the Jack Thompson days. The public at large viewed the video game medium in a very different light back then (as children's toys; the idea that Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto weren't intended for five-year-olds did not compute). I sincerely doubt she still holds this view...in fact, I sincerely doubt she gives a flying fuck about video games or fictitious violence at all anymore.

magnesium - 2017-02-26

Yeah video games have been the go-to "Don't blame guns for all the murders with guns" thing for like 30 years now. It's just posturing about the darn lazy youths. Nobody is ever actually going to take them away.

gmol - 2017-02-26

The suggestion that we've ever understood violent media to be harmful to behavior against the background of confounding factors and comparing to lead poisoning is remarkably disingenuous.
