This is an amazingly stupid non-issue, The Supreme Court settled this long ago. Either Trump is too stupid to understand this, or he's merely trying to pander to people too stupid to understand this.

I vote that we ignore Trump's continued distractions and try to focus on what he is actually going to do. He's won the election by dropping strawmen all over the place. He really is just like Vladimir Putin.

My main questions:
His trillion dollar stimulus - Since he contradicts promises every other week so that nobody ever knows what's happening, we can only speculate that a) it's all going to be in the form of military spending and tax cuts which won't so shit to help the people he promised to help or b) he will essentially pitch the above with the American Jobs Act tied to it, in which case he will be clashing with the GOP in the Senate unless they decide to be hypocrites and vote for New Deal style policies. This will be an interesting schism to see unfold.

Repealing free trade laws - This has been all talk so far but if he actually does this markets will freak out and giant corporations will revolt. The majority of the GOP designed these very laws; they were part of compromises they made with Bill Clinton and they were behind them with Obama too. I can't believe the GOP would suddenly decide to be the party of trade isolationism, so I expect this to be the first major heartbreak of the poor white folks who thought he would save their lives. NAFTA isn't going anywhere. Are you fucking kidding me?

War - He hasn't spoken at all about this but many people voted for Trump believing for some reason that he was an isolationist while on the other hand he spoke about bombing the shit out of everyone and spreading nukes around the world. I don't think he's going to stop drone strikes. If anything he'll be using terrorism every chance he can to distract and confuse.

I can see nothing but people getting pissed off for the next 4 years, but also plenty of the worst subterfuge, incompetence and corruption that will have ever been witnessed before. Worse than Reagan, worse than Clinton, worse than Bush Junior.
