What's the more egregious product placement scene: the part where a dance party breaks out inside a McDonald's, or the part where several characters die and are brought back to life by drinking Coca-Cola?

Saw this in the theater.

Everybody likes to bring up the McDonald's scene and the wheelchair thing, but the citizenship oath at the end of the movie doesn't get enough attention and derision.

At least this movie didn't undergo the horrible treatment as ET did with the "Threatening Guys With WALKIE TALKIES.." Yes, those are shotguns and the cops have every intent to shoot to kill Mac and a pre-teen in a wheelchair.

I actually used to date this girl who was obsessed with this movie: the other kids had Star Wars, the girls had Barbies and the Boys had GI Joes, and for whatever reason as identifying with neither one came across Mac and Me. Last time I saw her, she was still saving up for F2M reassignment, and she's still a stripper who likes to put on the theme song from Mac and Me as her soundtrack as much as her boss can tolerate.
