Punch orange faces?

SolRo - 2016-10-08

I'm surprised more people haven't punched trump in his stupid face throughout his life. His nose should be flat by this point

TeenerTot - 2016-10-08

Write- in candidate!

Xenocide - 2016-10-08

De Niro, I hereby forgive you for your last decade's worth of film roles.

But that means you're still on the hook for Meet the Fokkers.

That guy - 2016-10-08

Didn't go far enough, but at least De Niro brought the right level of discourse to this shit.

Binro the Heretic - 2016-10-08

The problem with punching Trump in the face is that it requires making physical contact with Trump.

Even a boxing glove isn't thick enough.

"blatantly stupid" says the guy who thinks all the facts aren't in about vaccines and autism

Two Jar Slave - 2016-10-09

Meh. He's got an autistic kid and, in his own words, wants "a conversation around the issue" to be possible. I can understand that. And since he's got some film clout, he invited Andrew Wakefield's documentary to screen at his film festival. Here's his statement: “This is very personal to me and my family and I want there to be a discussion, which is why we will be screening Vaxxed. I am not personally endorsing the film, nor am I anti-vaccination; I am only providing the opportunity for a conversation around the issue.”

But when push came to shove, that is, when someone sat him down and told him the story of Andrew Wakefield's falsification of evidence and bar from practising medicine, he reversed course and banned the bullshit documentary from the festival after all.

So, I give him a pass. It's difficult for a normal person working on second- and third-hand information to know at a glance what scientific snake oil looks like. There ARE cases of discredited medical theories struggling for decades before being accepted as the truth. This isn't one of them, but from a distance it looks like it easily could be. De Niro seems like his heart is in the right place and he's willing to be convinced by people who know what they're talking about. What more can you ask from an arts guy?

Nah, as a default policy it is correct to mock millionaires. I just happened to have read this article a while back.
