The Gathering isn't a city, though. It's more like an annual, migratory tribal council held for the warlords of the Juggalo Caliphate.

Perhaps in the following century, The Gathering will be moved to a permanent spot, the Masjid al-Lotus in Detroit.

True fact I almost went to the 2008 show in this video with a friend who was even less juggalo than me. Just to see.

I've known a few people over the years who disliked ICP's music passionately but had been to shows for one reason or another (one won tickets, one had Juggalo foster parents who she insisted were the best parents she had ever seen in her life, both to her and to their biological kids) and none of them had a bit of hesitation in saying that ICP was the best show they'd ever seen even though they hated the music.
