I know the furries fetishize anthropomorphized animals, but isn't it possible the majority of people like watching cartoon animals because they just find them funnier & cuter than cartoon people?

I know I enjoy drawing cartoon animals more than drawing cartoon people. I can certainly have more fun with it. You can only exaggerate features on a human character before you get accused of racism but nobody cares how big a cartoon bird's nose is or how thick the lips on a cartoon horse are. (Of course, you wouldn't want to put a shtreimel and pair of feathery payots on a vulture with an absurdly-hooked beak)

Cute scene, and I agree it's easier to use animals believably for scenes like this. Some of the earliest times I was thinking about turning into a medium size Dog, I'd wonder how I'd do things like turn light switches on or off and reach cabinets and things.

Anthro animals are the realm of what Furries deal with, but I think anyone can have love feelings for any character, cartoon or otherwise, provocative or in just regular situations.
