I was visiting my parents for Easter this past weekend. So, I was watching TV, something I don't do at home, and I saw a news report about the "holy light" in Jerusalem.

The Light itself is a flame that supposedly it appears on Easter day (Orthodox Easter day of-course) in Jesus's tomb. Among other miraculous qualities it also doesn't burn priest's beards (although I've never seen a demonstration) this flame then travels via myriad torches and candles until it reaches every orthodox church and worshiper.

The report was about how the Church hires "non-Christians"every year to check the tomb , so that they make sure there are no shenanigans and the flame itself is actually from God and not some bozo with a zippo under his robes. And all these "non-christians" say every year that the Tomb is "clean" and there are no hidden sources of fire, and every year they witness the miracle of fire springing from Jesus's tomb, and still they remain not christian.

Fucking Shenanigans!

Oh wow, now I remember that other Jehova's Witness cartoon that has this same exact visual style, where the little boy brings home a super hero wizard action figure toy that his friend gave him, and his mom makes him throw it in the trash because it's an evil toy and Jehova hates it.

I had no idea there was a series of these things.

Also, the boy in the first video is named Caleb, which is the name of the terrifying faceless brother in this video. Bet you didn't know this was all part of the Jehovah Cartoon Shared Universe.
