Thank Christ they're back to using a human language.

Correct the Record accurately predicted that fans of this stuff like the English versions a lot less.

Void 71 - 2016-04-28

This would have been so much better if his supporters were digitized versions of AIDS Skrillex and Carl the Cuck.

Nikon - 2016-04-28

Wouldn't it be Clinton Cucks?

Gmork - 2016-04-28

using "cuck" in a sentence

EvilHomer - 2016-04-29

Carl the Cuck is a proper name, Gmork, lighten up.

Xenocide - 2016-04-28

At 0:50, see EXCLUSIVE footage of Bernie Sanders going through a car wash.

Raggamuffin - 2016-04-29

Is that how he does his hair? OH!

Bort - 2016-04-29

Five for the Bernie waifu pillow. I hear it's marketed in Japan as "Magical Dream Promise Elder".

Bort - 2016-04-29

Also, it seems the sitcom that is Bernie's campaign has launched a spinoff, a PAC called "Brand New Congress". Their mission is to replace every single legislator with one who is in full agreement with Bernie's agenda. (Those who are already on board are safe, so they needn't quiver in fear.) From their Web site (https://brandnewcongress.org/):

---

Our candidates will be working people from many backgrounds and fields who:

- Are good at what they do.

- Are proven servants to their communities, families, friends.

- Have consistently passed on opportunities to sell out.

- In general, have never held or sought public office.

- Agree completely on a unified economic, social justice, and climate change platform.

---

Is it too soon for me to call them fucking delusional? No, I don't think so.

SolRo - 2016-04-29

"- Are proven servants to their communities, families, friends.

- Have consistently passed on opportunities to sell out."

I'd have thought indie musicians from the second statement, but that would contradict the first one.

SolRo - 2016-04-29

Also it's not too soon to call them delusional, they're burnie campaign volunteers.

Bort - 2016-04-29

Remember, they're looking for people who have never been in politics, but have also proven that they're not sellouts.

Credit where it's due: these ninnies have finally, finally started to grasp that Congress plays some mysterious role in passing the legislation they want. But why does every step in their political education take months or years? How many decades until they grasp that the Democratic Party is the way it is -- essentially a diverse coalition of relatively sane politicians who think the government can be a force for good -- because not everybody wants the same things Team Bernie does?

SolRo - 2016-04-29

I think by the time they learn enough about politics they'll have progressed enough in their careers to start making real money and suddenly care a lot about investment taxes, and go register as republicans because they cant see 6 inches past their own nose.

Nominal - 2016-04-29

Jesus christ. Can we invoke Poe's Law on that site? The language they use is what I would write if I was trying to mock a "with us or against us" mentality.

BERNIE SMASH anyone who isn't in complete agreement with him on every single issue!

memedumpster - 2016-04-29

I think they're sincere.
They couldn't put a cart and a horse in the right order if they got three tries though.

Old_Zircon - 2016-04-30

GET THOSE DAMN KIDS OFF MY LAWN

SolRo - 2016-04-29

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Nominal - 2016-04-29

I started thinking Sanders was just a well meaning, but naive version of Barney Franke, but 5 stars because this is exactly how every brush with his supporters have gone. They are all totally convinced that the only reason someone couldn't be in love with him is because they're stupid or duped by a mainstream media conspiracy.

My opinion of him went from naive Barny Frank to Ron Paul for progressives and right now it's teetering on amiable Sarah Palin.

Bort - 2016-04-29

The basic policy goals Bernie has are better than anything the Republicans have, so that is points in his favor.

But when it comes to so much of the rest -- his command of the facts, the demands for ideological purity, the campaign trail accusations he can't back up -- he looks more like a Republican than a Democrat. Dude still won't release more than a year of his taxes. And you can bet his campaign manager (his wife) is collecting a salary, so that's money funneling into Sanders' pockets.

Bort - 2016-04-29

Also, I've been reading a few things that suggest that Bernie is having big money problems: apparently he's somewhere between K and K in credit card debt, and his assets are in his wife's name. That's what we know; for some reason he won't release his tax returns except for 2014, even though it's a perfectly conventional expectation for presidential candidates.

Mrs. Sanders is his campaign manager; does she collect a salary? I'd be surprised if she didn't.

Add to that how Sanders hasn't asked his followers to stop sending in money -- even though he must know they're not going to get value for their dollar -- and it sounds to me like a man who's trying to solve his money problems, at a time. The biggest reason to reject this possibiility is that Bernie is too noble to do such a thing, but I've detected a lot less nobility in him than most.

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-29

Bort: I am not sure why you are reveling in the slagging of the Berners. The mobilization of that demographic played a large part in getting Obama into the Whitehouse. You can bet Hillary's speaking fee for Goldman Sacks they won't be supporting your candidate. Even with their support it would be a uphill battle to defeat Donald Trump. Without it, I think we'd better be prepared to have The Don around for another 4 to 8 years. If you haven't already noticed, he's basically the 21st century's answer to Ronald Reagan.

Bort - 2016-04-29

I think you overestimate the past impact of Sanders' fan club. From what I've seen, they're the demographic most eager to find excuses not to vote, and if they can't find excuses, they'll make some up instead.

To this day I'm having to argue with uninformed Bernie supporters who insist that the Democrats never even tried to give them a public option, and no matter what supporting evidence I bring to the table, they refuse to believe it. It's like arguing with Creationists, except instead of desperately clinging to the inerrancy of Genesis, they're clinging to the pervasive corruptness of all Democrats.

If they'd just bother to vote the Republicans out of office, they'd get most of what they're asking for. At the very least they'd get enough to constitute a promising start. Instead they've decided that EVERYONE in Washington is their enemy, except for Bernie, and maybe Liz Warren if she finally commits to good instead of evil.

memedumpster - 2016-04-29

I thought Will Ferrell was the 21st century's answer to Ronald Reagan?

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-29

I've never argued with the Berners, so I'll have to take your word on that point. However, I can do arithmetic, and based on pledged delegates (none of this superdelegate nonsense) we're talking about 44% of _primary_ voters. These are the hardcore people, because primaries typically engage only 20-30% of possible voters. That's a fuckton of voters, Bort. You'd better stop arguing with the Berners and figure out how to woo them. Bill was famous for that, Hillary, not so much you know?

Bort - 2016-04-29

There are some Bernie voters who weren't going to vote for Hillary no matter what, and there are others who understand that the only sane course is voting for Hillary. I don't think there's any way to win over the former; many of them have decided that Hillary is literally evil, and really they've decided that everyone except for Bernie is a corrupt tool of the plutocracy. If I'm right about Bernie using his campaign to pay his bills, their heads will literally explode, to the extent that blood vessels will burst.

SolRo - 2016-04-29

You forgot the third group of idiots; the ones that don't just refuse to vote for Hillary but are proposing to vote Trump to make sure Hillary loses.

Because something something, he might be better than evil incarnate Hillary something something if he's bad then the American people will wake up and elect Burnie in 4 years anyhow something something either way I have my trust fund, heterosexuality and whiteness so I'll be fine either way.

See; Bo News

SolRo - 2016-04-29

Oh wait, no, the argument is that if trump turns out as evil as some fear, then the republican congress will impeach him quickly. I'll repeat that; A republican congress will impeach a republican president.

...and then Burnie wins?

(Though if Overlord Trump were afraid of a possible impeachment, he should just pick Cruz for VP. One of the few people republicans hate more than Trump.)

Bort - 2016-04-29

A pretty good column about cynicism:

Spaceman Africa - 2016-04-29

The 21st century's answer to Ronald Reagan is probably going to be Clinton

Oscar Wildcat - 2016-04-30

I'm not fond of betting, but I'll wager my house against whatever you got that Hillary won't win 525 electoral votes. Hell, I'll be amazed if she can even prevail over Trump. Some Reagan.

SolRo - 2016-04-30

So you think there are enough lower class, straight, bigoted white men to carry the general election for trump? Because he's insulted or alienated everyone else

Bort - 2016-04-30

There are some pretty hard limits on Trump support, and what's more, the Democrats haven't even started in with the heavy artillery. They've got the perfect guy to dismantle Trump, this guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9mzJhvC-8E#t=9m17s

Even people who don't like Obama have to look at how well he wears the presidency, and contrast with Trump.

memedumpster - 2016-04-30

Will Ferrell pussed out of the Reagan movie.

Comedy is dead.
